Unfortunately people do come on here with issues and then get upset and argue if people don't agree with them.[/URL]

If you want truthful advice (even if it isn't want you want to hear) then this forum is full of highly knowledgeable people. If, however, you just want people to always agree with you, then ask your friends and family.

I don't mind truthful advice, as you'll see reading my response to another comment. What I do mind is being condescended to, and told things that aren't accurate in my case. There's telling the truth, and there's just being unhelpful, as happened here.

Fair enough. If you can point me to the part of my comment that wasn't accurate in reply to yours, then I will gladly edit it for you.

But YOU weren't subject to prices changes. As you said yourself, you've been paying the same amount since you took the contract out. Therefore there were no price changes to tell you about.

    This bit for you.

As another poster pointed out, while the salesman may have said one thing, that I'd be informed about any price changes, the contract likely specifies only prices raises, which is where this annoying problem has raised. There certainly have been price changes, as evidenced by the lower rate for the specific month by month contract I was on.

Price change does not just equal price raise!

Correct. And I haven't mentioned a rise or a drop in any post, just a change. Think you may be quoting the wrong poster for that part.

If my comment was inaccurate, can you tell me when the price you were paying has changed, as I was led to believe from your first post that you have been paying the same amount since you took out the new contract? Maybe I have misinterpreted your post if that's not the case.

Who ever mentioned anything about falling hand over foot? Contact has been made about improvements and other offers in my time with Three, but not this. That's one of the reasons I'm annoyed over this!

Had the name of the cheaper tariff changed from the tariff you are on?

Even if the price of the tarriff changed, it wouldn't necessarily change for you, being an existing customer.

Except I wasn't informed of any price change, despite being told I would be. That it wasn't applied to me is the exact problem I have here. The price of my contract went down, but it did not go down for me, despite it being a one month rolling contract. I remember talking to the salesman about potential price changes, the problem of being on a one month contract, and being told I'd be informed of any changes in Threes prices. I took this as stated, that if the price of the plan I was signed up to changed, I would be informed. Are you arguing they wouldn't have informed me of a raise in the price plan, which they could apply immediately as it's a one month rolling contract? As said, my understanding was I'd be informed of a change either way, while your argument is arguing a different issue entirely it seems.

Nope, I checked this before I called them up

As said just above, monthly rolling contract where I'd been told I'd be informed of any price changes.

Told by the salesman yes, but is it in the T&Cs?

As someone else said salesmen will often say things that aren't true to make a sale, or sometimes they might simply be misinformed.

That was the first actual helpful & polite comment. The previous ones had just been condescending, unhelpful, and came across as a bit rude. Bringing up the tone of the replies is apparently being upset about the issue, rather than being upset about how people are responding to you. Both the first posters could have written the exact facts they stated, but not in the manner they did. Checking facts that've turned out to be different than they said rather than stating them as an absolute truth would have been a start.

Its quite easy to see what the issue is here.

When you mentioned "price changes" the salesman most likely thought you were referring to RPI increases and the like. So for example if Three announced a 2.7% increase of all existing customer price plans then Three would have to tell you 30 days in advance. The salesperson would have told you this as it is a requirement that the network has to inform you of any price increases that could happen during or after your contract term. It was a big issue in the media.

Obviously you were asking in the more general sense of the term where you wanted to be told if your price plan changed at all, either due to an RPI increase or due to Three changing the tariff prices for new sign ups. Unfortunately the sales person probably misunderstood. Also Three don't actually need to inform you if the price plan changes for new customers.

for example. I might sign a £20pm contract for a one month sim. As time goes on the network may offer a new price of £15pm for new customers. The network does not need to inform me, nor should the price automatically change to £15. This applies to all networks. As you signed a contract at £20 you would have to ask the network to move you down to the cheaper price plan.

So I think its just a misunderstanding on your part and the salespersons part.
