Evening all
Not many pages to catch up on today, makes things a bit easier
Another NSD today for me and tomorrow should make number 3 in a row...those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.

There's a fork in the road, which way will you go
You standing still or will you step into the great unknown,
Is yours to decide, this is your life.

Having a stressed day , I know everyone has their problems and a lot of people's are far worse than mine, but today's one of those days where I just want to scream.
Every now and then nan has these moments where she is just really nasty and nothing I do is good enough , I have been up there this morning for 3 hours done her washing and cleaning cooked dinner and then I went to work then got the children from school then went back up and cause I only stayed an hour she started telling me she might as well be dead.ive told her if that is how she feels then it is worthless me doing what I do if it doesn't make her any happier but she then justs chucks insults at me and the children then refuses to listen to what I'm saying and then pretends she can't hear me and now I'm the one coming away feeling guilty but there isn't anymore I can do, I am there as much as I possibly can be:(
Big hugs to you ILTS, unfortunately their world becomes a lot smaller than ours, they just don't realise how hard hitting their words can be.
It's sad that really there is nothing we can do to help these anxious feelings, their sense of reality starts to go and they just don't realise exactly how much they are relying on us and the time we are spending with them and being away from our own homes to care for them.
My mum always used to say to health professionals "Oh my daughter will do that." without any consultation with me. But there were moments when the realisation did hit how much I was doing/giving up and they made up for any doubts I had whether what I was doing was appreciated.
Don't take it to heart hun, I am sure your nan just needed to vent her feelings as we all do from time to time and you were there for her. :A0 -
I hope Giggsy comes on and he scores

If it helps you locals, free swimming at salt ayre (to pass the time til APG is in) at Lancaster.gov.uk/carnivalswim
I don't shop in Lancaster that much, Im near Blackpool but go to uni in Lancaster. And I can assure you after the first chapatti, I never bought any more! :rotfl::rotfl: I know some people like them but I didn't at all0 -
I am glad you saw my message fair claire. Thank you also to everyone else for the welcome. It took me about an hour to set the account up and find out how to post my message. After a better look around I now think I understand how the different sections work. I was coming accross things randomly but wasn't following the same section all the time and then when I saw things I had to search to find them again.
My wife knows now that Im not mad after seeing my vouchers and she wants more of the Tassimo pods. Would it be ok for me to use the vouchers I got today to buy more? Can I use them to buy the same things again? And can I use them both at once?
Sorry for the questions. I'm happy to search for the answers if someone can give me a clue where to look. I'm actually feeling very pleased with these vouchers and I'm keen to do another shop without any help this time! Thank you0 -

I'm glad your shops worked :T:T Sorry I had to dash, I was late but not because of you. I've been chasing my tail all day! I didn't realise you weren't already a member. Don't lurk! stick around and see what else you can pick up

Hey FC you have an apprentice.:T :rotfl:
Welcome Lotsobear.
You wait FC, Truffle Hunter was my trainee and think she will be getting her Elite degree before me, she doesn't need any of my help anymore. :eek:0 -
I just have to bite my tongue and try not to let her get to me but she does. It sure is tough. Her most famous saying is when she's talking to Poppy . Nobody loves or cares about your nana if I wasn't here only you would miss me.
Oh my it is all to familiar, nan tries to tell her neighbours she never goes anywhere or sees anyone and they no that's not true as they see me there everyday
I try to explain to nan that if she went to some of the clubs they have on offer here she might make some new friends and might enjoy herself but she refuses as she says they are for old people :cool:One cannot change the past, but one can ruin the present by worrying over the future.0 -
Hello. I am a bit of a recent lurker to this site and really didn't have any intention of saying anything because Ive never been on a forum before and it's all a bit new to me! I had to join though to say thank you to someone who helped me today. I was in Asda Lancaster.
I hope I am in the right section. I searched for tassimo pods and nutri grains and it brought me here. I want to say a BIG thank you to the lovely young lady who helped me with my shopping. She asked me if I was a friend of Martin :-) after overhearing me trying to explain to my wife what I was doing. I was flustered buying tassimo pods and she helped me sort out 2 different shops that I mixed up and even counted that I had enough shopping. If you are reading THANK YOU I got 2 APG vouchers and I am very happy. I tried to get one before but it didn't work. More importantly you stopped me getting grief from the wife who was getting irate at me!
I hope you read this and I hope I didn't make you late :-) Thank you also to others who post on this site. I have managed to save quite a lot and am learning. Slowly
