Thanks, I know she doesn't mean it and I know its frustration and it happens quite often and I have learnt to ignore it but every now and then I let it effect me and today's one of those times :o

Hello. I am a bit of a recent lurker to this site and really didn't have any intention of saying anything because Ive never been on a forum before and it's all a bit new to me! I had to join though to say thank you to someone who helped me today. I was in Asda Lancaster.

I hope I am in the right section. I searched for tassimo pods and nutri grains and it brought me here. I want to say a BIG thank you to the lovely young lady who helped me with my shopping. She asked me if I was a friend of Martin :-) after overhearing me trying to explain to my wife what I was doing. I was flustered buying tassimo pods and she helped me sort out 2 different shops that I mixed up and even counted that I had enough shopping. If you are reading THANK YOU I got 2 APG vouchers and I am very happy. I tried to get one before but it didn't work. More importantly you stopped me getting grief from the wife who was getting irate at me!

I hope you read this and I hope I didn't make you late :-) Thank you also to others who post on this site. I have managed to save quite a lot and am learning. Slowly

Lotsobear  That was me :)
I'm glad your shops worked :T:T Sorry I had to dash, I was late but not because of you. I've been chasing my tail all day! I didn't realise you weren't already a member. Don't lurk! stick around and see what else you can pick up :)

Been ages since someone called me young :D :rotfl:

    Good Evening :)

What a mad day! My OH started his new treatment today. Unfortunately it's miles in the opposite direction from everywhere else I need to be so it's been a bit busy!!
Managed to get to uni for a few hours and even managed to squeeze a shop in :D
And despite the weather forecast saying we were having rain today, it's been lovely and sunny so that helps.

Hope everyone is well. Not too many pages to catch up on since this morning so I'm guessing I never missed a mega glitch?
Great to hear that the new treatment has started. Such a shame that it's miles away in the opposite way that you need to be. Fingers crossed for you and yours that an improvement is around the corner xx
    Evening:D

Thanks aau1 ..silly auto correct :)

Having a stressed day , I know everyone has their problems and a lot of people's are far worse than mine, but today's one of those days where I just want to scream.
Every now and then nan has these moments where she is just really nasty and nothing I do is good enough , I have been up there this morning for 3 hours done her washing and cleaning cooked dinner and then I went to work then got the children from school then went back up and cause I only stayed an hour she started telling me she might as well be dead.ive told her if that is how she feels then it is worthless me doing what I do if it doesn't make her any happier but she then justs chucks insults at me and the children then refuses to listen to what I'm saying and then pretends she can't hear me and now I'm the one coming away feeling guilty but there isn't anymore I can do, I am there as much as I possibly can be :o:(

My mum was like this, nothing was ever enough. The more I did the more she griped. I know it wasn't her though, it was her illness, Mrs Altzimers at work.

Many is the time she would say "this could be my last Christmas" "birthday" "Easter" etc etc before she was ill. This went on for years :)

I often came home and cried but then on a day out shopping she would hold my hand, just like I held hers when I was a child. Yes the roles had reversed.

Don't be too hard on yourself, you are doing a great job for your nan. If she were herself she would tell you so. You take care and make sure you have enough time for you xx
There's no place like home :)

Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.

You will start to feel better by tomorrow morning. This is from experience, I had pneumonia last year and I will never forget how tired and awful I felt, except I had a horrible taste in my mouth too so couldn't eat! I ended up on two different double size antibiotics and had to take a whole day's dose in about 4 hours. Hope you are starting to feel better when you wake up, recovery is pretty quick after that :)
