Hi, sorry to hear your little ones have chicken pox.:(

I wanted to let you know that the best thing to help stop the itching is porridge oats in a pair of tights in your little ones bath water. Just give the tights a squeeze to make the water go a milky colour before you put your little ones in it.
I thought it was an old wives tale, but believe me it was brilliant for my dd2. I then just gave her a spoonful of piriton in the evening and morning. No need for calamine lotion.

I hope they will be feeling better soon.:)

thanks I will pass it on to dd1 its her kids that have it and one of them is scratching badly so definatly worth a try x

To be checked instore Morrisons Chicken Mini Fillet (400g) 380g version in Morries?!?

    Tesco Chicken Drumsticks 1.1kg
£3.49 (M 1kg apparently) To be checked instore

    Tesco Diced Chicken Breast 400g
£2.00 (M is 385g?) To be checked instore
    [...]

Okay, back from M (used smaller store rather than the bigger one, mainly to avoid any 'trouting') but back to M again (another location) soon as a few items I couldn't find there.

Well, it's finally on!!:j:j Dalton's discounts:D. I am liking most of them - having been around the fresh meat and fish aisles for far too long:eek:, I returned to the fresh fruit and veg. place, at the start of the store, and I quite liked (and still like now:D) some of the items there:rotfl:. Round Lettuce to be 49p (I say 'to be' as on the waiting game of the APG/T PP:rotfl::rotfl:, so, not just yet... resist for a couple of days maybe;)!!). I like(d) the Spring Greens at 49p:rotfl::j.

As for the back end of the Tvs M meat possibles, the Diced Chicken Mini Fillets that are £2 turn out to be 400g in M:j. T is same weight!! Not that that means anything or that it will work:(, but I just feel a little better about it being 400g and 400g rather than 400g and 385g and then risking them more so not picking something up because, although it's well within the 10% weight range, it's a slightly different weight and the manual collectors might not notice such subtleties:D:(:(.

The Drumsticks are indeed 1kg packs for £3.49 in M. But will they (T PP) pick up the fact they are within the 10% weight limit and do a straight comp. to M's pricing as they should?

Pay attention;), the Diced Mini Chicken Breast Fillets are 400g (£2) but the Mini Chicken Breast Fillets are 385g and at £3. Which - T Mini Chicken Fillets 350g - means 350g+10% (35g) = exact 385g:j, but will they pick it up?:(:(:):(

Ignore the references to the weights in the quoted post, as that was what was to be checked (and still, some of it, to be checked).

I couldn't find the double pack of bacon instore but I'm sure I've seen it at the larger store?

The fish mix (these are items in the original post but not the extracted part) turns out to be 340g in M, so is outside weight:(. The Pork Chops in M are 630g and fixed so should be compared from T's 620g (and we don't worry about losing 10g in this context). Msm has the Chicken & Bacon Parcels as an alternative for M but non-comp. (for msm that is, not necessarily for T PP folks;)) from T's version. But I've found a closer one in M. M Kitchen Chicken with Cheese & Bacon (395g), and it is Chicken Breast:T. The Cheese and Bacon do indeed, cover, or "wrap", the M version so it's IMO comparable from T's product. But I don't matter - T itself does, and only they count not me!:)

And - see what I mean - msm (which is completely and wholly irrelevant as this is T PP which does *not* use msm - how much can I emphasise? - but msm which is being solely used as a starting point in order to try to identify what might be stocked in various competitors) has T's Lamb Chops (270g) in the 2 for £7 T offer (and presumably 3 for £10) but unavailable for M. However, I've found M Lamb Chops 280g instore:j:beer::D, on £4 and any 3 for £10. 270+27 = somewhat more than 280g, so within weight but, hey, will 270g and 280g strike out anything subtle such as that it should be compared for these 'assumed to be neurotypical' price-collectors?:D

I can't guarantee that I've picked everything up in M - indeed, my own searches are even more scattergun than APG/T PP - and spent quite some time looking in M for items that don't exist.:(:rotfl::rotfl:

Right, got to go, so much to mention - do we really need Malteaster Bunnies at 18p? Dan Cake Truffles (two versions) at 37p and with packaging 75p/any 2 for £1 so will mbuy be taken off if we get 2x37p? Soft White Rolls (6) at 32p. But 6 Wholemeal at 65p might compare more likely, and may be fitted in with 3 for £1.50 no-show on APG?

Discos Assorted 6 pack maybe. May be 6 + '6 free' £1.88 T vs M at £1.00, as alternative to Tvs A. Or maybe not.

Own brand crisps on 85p and 2 for £1.60, so may help on APG wombles (85p A). McCoys that says it is a 15 pack (but is approximately a 14 on previous weight:p) £2. Avocado 4 pack 99p. Spring Onion 49p. Penguins still on. Own brand Kipper Fillets (fresh) 85p (bit dubious that one?!? - needs a further check first) may be okay for Avs M.

I took an intake of breath over this next one: _pale__pale__pale_Savers Chopped Tomato tins on 4 for £1:T:T:T:T. Watch me go and buy 4 on Mr A shopping and have them compare all vs full price:rotfl:.

Lots of new "I'm cheaper" labels instore to distract my attention away from items that may work out better:rotfl:. I noticed one of the Indian meals which was £2.69 was now "I'm cheaper" £2.49. I'm more expensive then:p:p, as was on 2 for £4 earlier in the year. But, no, to be fair, the vast majority of the stuff did appear good. Another one of the meals (specific version though;)) has gone down to an individual price below £2. Will mention more on that later, and of course awaits checking to see if it's even available in T or A in the first place.

I rather like the "I'm cheaper", with M in a partial circle, sort of very personalised to the products and makes me go ahhh, how nice!!:A

:rotfl::rotfl:I've got to stop the emotional tugging of me in. I saw too an advertising billboard for M on my way - "I'm yout new cheaper Morrisons"! Cheaper, yuck - cheap as in tacky and nasty:eek:!

Whether this will work or not is of course guesswork - and Aldi have been targetting Morrisons in particular in their latest price comparison posters. Comparing their own brands to branded items at M. M has a new basket of stuff in one of its instore posters - would love a copy, to buy that basket in Mr A!:rotfl::rotfl: Will the 'discounts' work? Will M increase its market share? Will A withdraw the APG as unable to beat the real way lower prices?:eek: Who knows! I suspect it'll much continue as people don't generally target like that.

Right, too much to mention, I'm off again now and back later!:) (M is tempting me.. they've put the price down on a few non-comparable items too:rotfl::rotfl:.)

Had a quiet day yesterday, spent part of it on 'our' little beach. DH took a few pics, so thought I'd share a couple with you.

Been feeding this little chap this morning. He is a King Bird, a flycatcher, and catches his food on the wing. He's developed a liking for little bits of bread. He sits on a palm frond outside the apartment, and is there from about 5.30 am, waiting for his breakfast. He bobs up and down when he sees us, and catches the bread we throw for him.

Sorry about the weird quoting method below.:o I had already put the pics in a reply box, and had forgotten to click on the quote thingy, so had to open a new page and c&p

Well done both of you. I gave up in February, and I'm proud to say I'm still not smoking. It has been very hard at times, but I'm now at the stage where I can smell if someone has been smoking, despite them using the mints and perfume that I used to use to cover up the telltale pong.:o I now know IT DON'T WORK:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Hope you all have a lovely day.

When I come back, I think no more posting of prose with items, instead I can just be left to get on making a big list!!:rotfl:

[Ooo... nice pics being quoted above.]:T

    Evening:D

Thanks aau1 ..silly auto correct :)

Having a stressed day , I know everyone has their problems and a lot of people's are far worse than mine, but today's one of those days where I just want to scream.
Every now and then nan has these moments where she is just really nasty and nothing I do is good enough , I have been up there this morning for 3 hours done her washing and cleaning cooked dinner and then I went to work then got the children from school then went back up and cause I only stayed an hour she started telling me she might as well be dead.ive told her if that is how she feels then it is worthless me doing what I do if it doesn't make her any happier but she then justs chucks insults at me and the children then refuses to listen to what I'm saying and then pretends she can't hear me and now I'm the one coming away feeling guilty but there isn't anymore I can do, I am there as much as I possibly can be :o:(

ilovetoshop its awful isn't it have a big hug (((X))).

I know just what you are going through and its not nice.
Mum is like this with me some weekends and rings during week and they do make you feel worthless. Try not to let it get to you even though I know it is. :A

I have come home from my mums many a time trying not to cry outside then started crying when I have got in :(
