Hello. I am a bit of a recent lurker to this site and really didn't have any intention of saying anything because Ive never been on a forum before and it's all a bit new to me! I had to join though to say thank you to someone who helped me today. I was in Asda Lancaster.

I hope I am in the right section. I searched for tassimo pods and nutri grains and it brought me here. I want to say a BIG thank you to the lovely young lady who helped me with my shopping. She asked me if I was a friend of Martin :-) after overhearing me trying to explain to my wife what I was doing. I was flustered buying tassimo pods and she helped me sort out 2 different shops that I mixed up and even counted that I had enough shopping. If you are reading THANK YOU I got 2 APG vouchers and I am very happy. I tried to get one before but it didn't work. More importantly you stopped me getting grief from the wife who was getting irate at me!

I hope you read this and I hope I didn't make you late :-) Thank you also to others who post on this site. I have managed to save quite a lot and am learning. Slowly

What a lovely post, welcome to the site x
We're just happy to have a home, a family and our health. Whatever else is just added and it fits. :)

Can anyone please share ideas for what to do with the Bombay pots.
Got some friends coming for lunch tomorow and today I bought some wholemeal pittas to put with them. I've seen some nice ideas before but have forgotten them.
    Any help greatly appreciated

I missed out on the M&S dine in this time :(

Went this morning, but they only had a small selection of the deal stuff left, no chickens (I really wanted to try the chicken).
They had ross chickens on the ordinary shelf, but the SA said they wouldn't work through the till.

That will teach me to leave it til the last day.. will have to go within the first couple of days next time.

So, my GR voucher will have to do for next time. Anyone know how often the dine in deal comes around?

    Good Evening :)

What a mad day! My OH started his new treatment today. Unfortunately it's miles in the opposite direction from everywhere else I need to be so it's been a bit busy!!
Managed to get to uni for a few hours and even managed to squeeze a shop in :D
And despite the weather forecast saying we were having rain today, it's been lovely and sunny so that helps.

Hope everyone is well. Not too many pages to catch up on since this morning so I'm guessing I never missed a mega glitch?

Hi , I'm absolutely knackered. Had everything out of the big shed including a heavy table thing with a vice on it  Then I was able to get to the sodden floor. Carpet first, then these loft board things which were even heavier as they were soaked with water. They were approx 8 ft long by about 2 ft wide.

All that's there now are the paving slabs. Then I repaired all around the bottom where vermin had tried to get in and you could see daylight through but apart from that I think the she d s worth saving. Put the table thing back in and just bunged everything else in for now in case it rained . Went to the skip, lovely job not, had some food then a bath and I'm now aching all over lol.

Would anyone like to come and give me a nice massage please :D

Sounds a massive job, you did well hope the hot bath gets the kinks out x
