well, not just wombles but I'll rely on any AvM APG results as I don't see that we can rely on anytihng else
MSM, actual price observed in M, price reported in the press etc are all pointless.
Particularly those. As for the price observed in M, it's a guide (probably a better guide than msm) but certainly no guarantees - and in that sense not to be 'relied' on. But then again, I can't even rely on wombles or APG results (particularly involving mbuy glitches as they may change even on the same day).
I think the M data from last Wednesday (that we have been seeing on comps. recently on here) is now 'set in stone' to last through tomorrow and into some of Wednesday.:o0 -

Reduced price?
Increased prices from the 88ps we saw in stores of a year or two ago.
(All I'm saying is I haven't seen the £1 on the 6 pack McCoys as being a reduced price to me and have been avoiding them on any comps. as £1 is way too expensive for me in that light. Nor do I like 'reductions' in both stores - i.e. comparing from £1. I prefer way expensive and for mbuys to fail to show! Sorry - too Savvy these days in that way.)
(Or I'd want a huge price increase in T on a 6+100% extra free:D.)
Edit: I was looking at 15 pack of McCoys the other day, as a result of Iceland having them at £2.00. Long date - August 2014 on some of them. Spend using £10 gift voucher from Iceland Bingo (£10 deposit but £15 cashback). As a result of my enquiring into the matter, wondering if they (McCoys) had shortchanged me on that - I noticed that there were some 15x32g packs around on msm, showing as N/A everywhere, so the answer is yes - nigh-on one fewer pack than before. Now 30g each, so 30g missing. So that 15 pack (15x30g) I got is to be treated as approximately a 14 pack on weight. Also makes the "6" pack McCoys now about 5.7pack as we've lost 12g (in fact that's nearly than half a pack:eek:, so 5.625pack now?). I then also noticed that the 15x30g pack described as such on msm was now showing a picture that says "BIG 14 PACK" (my emphasis), so are they now losing a further bag on top? My pack from Iceland is a 15 pack though.
But there we go - it is a 15x30g, not 15x32g, so it's really approximately 14 pack (on the old weight) whilst the new 14 packs (if indeed the picture on msm represents what is actually now being sold in A or T) are to be treated as 13 pack. At least I had my 14 pack (marked as 15 pack and although the (fewer) crisps distributed amongst 15 bags) in Iceland from a gift voucher, even if short changed by the best part of one pack compared to previous weight - although remember the ones now described by them as 14 pack (if indeed they are that) in A/T are roughly 13 pack on previous weight and the 6 pack ones, called 6 pack, are now 5.625pack on my weight adjustments. Thank you folks!
Henceforth I shall change every reference to McCoys 6 pack, if I should ever put them on any of my lists again, to 5.625pack and every reference to a 15 pack I'll change to a 14 pack one (lost 15x2g from previous "15" pack) and the "new" "big" 14 packs (on their approach) I will now call 13 pack. Got it?!:rotfl::D0 -
Great shops TM. I have not been near the shops today. I will pick the mags out just in case as always do.
We went out for lunch then have been bowling this evening.
I also have a massive bag of rhubarb on the bench needing used up. Might make rhubarb & ginger jam tomorrow as have a bag of crystalised ginger in the cupboard & if enough will make a crumble. I have a lovely joint of pork to cook for lunch tomorrow so have the oven on anyway.0 -
