Anyone else had problems with the £1 off voucher for Shreddies from the voucher thread?

I went to Morrisons* expecting them to be £1.15, as on their website, but they were priced, and went through, at £1.31. The blimmin voucher would not scan either and there was much huffin'and puffin' and teeth suckin' before they finally accepted it. :(

*It was a Morrisons Local....are prices different in the teenier shops? Got another voucher to use as well....will go to the normal big Morrisons next time I thinks :o

I don't have a Morries local but I would imagine yes

    Good afternoon all.

Things seem relatively calm, so I'll have a read back.

Evening - or is that morning? to anyone still around.......

Unfortunately I've had no hope of getting any as yet as Mum has been in an awful state, worse than ever, even to the point of thumping me earlier when I was moving her, as she refused to move her feet when standing and I just had to lift her back on the bed myself before dropping her. Then shouting at me for 'forcing tablets down her throat' when I was putting them in one of her hands, helping her hold the water bottle in the other, and trying to convince her that they are ones the doc she saw half hour before on a home visit had prescribed. (we needed a change of meds.) My other sis is staying over night with my Dad but I don't know how long this can go on for, as at least me n my sis can swap over, but Dad in his mid 70's is getting no break. One person alone wouldn't manage. I know her attitude just now is down to the pain she is in and medication, and she will almost definitely not remember a thing. But how are we supposed to manage whilst it's happening?
Saturday I phoned the local 'emergency' social services. What a joke! I said we needed a commode to be able to cope at all at home, and at 3pm on a saturday their best suggestion was to go out and buy one! After numerous phone calls, and waiting on calls back, (not to social services!) I got a sorry, we can't find one from district nursing team. I followed this up with well sorry, you will just have too!!!!! Got a call 15 mins later saying you can have a loan of one from a local community hospital if you can pick it up, which we did. It was brand new and came out of a store room!
Sorry for my long winded rabble, but I had to get it off my chest. All I hope is that things can start to get better.

Elsie sorry to hear of your troubles and stresses and I understand how completely stressful it is for you. I am currently helping care for a relative in the final stages of dementia, we are caring for her at home and it can be a struggle, although we now have a decent care package in place. I can only encourage you to persevere with your named social worker in the elder care team. I know that you have to push for everything but when you do get the support you are entitled to it does make a big difference. I have found that now we have the district nurses on our side they make a big difference to accessing other help. Good luck and I hope you get some decent support from outside your family.

    Hi Miro
I used mine in big M today. Price on sell was £1.15 I think. I've binned reciept and always tear up or I would check. My voucher was accepted no bother so I think it probably scanned. Hth

Just seen your post Locarr in reply to SSM, I've caught up with the old thread but now I think I maybe won't read the start of this one :(

Why do people have to attack with negative stuff, life is too short, move on :)

I did thank you Locarr, late last night when I got home x
