I did a similar thing thing when I took my 3 under 5s out shopping one day...
I hung a little dress on the handle of the pushchair and walked out of Mothercare, completely forgetting it was there.
I got about 300 metres away before I realised and then almost gave myself whiplash looking round to see if there were store detectives chasing after me!
I stood there in a right tizzy trying to decide what to do as I was afraid that if I went back into the store I'd get arrested! I had visions of my 3 little ones being taken into care while I was hauled off to the cells.
I was hyperventilating when I walked back into the store to pay and the alarms went off but the assistant just laughed when I told her what I'd done.:o
I had this in Asda a while back, having been trouted at the tills for using MOCs or a large APG or something. They suspended the transaction, and I was taken to the Customer Services with my trolley full of shopping to argue it out.
After about 20 minutes of arguing at the desk, I wheeled the trolley out to the car with the suspended transaction receipt, loaded up and went home. Only after I got home did it dawn on me that I had not actually paid for it all
So the next day I went back to the store first thing, with all my shopping, and went straight to the CS desk to explain the genuine mistake / circumstances and offered to pay there and then. Lucky - as the Manager (who I had argued with the day before) came over and said they saw me on the CCTV !!
Obviously, they accepted it was a genuine situation, laughed about it, let me pay and that was that. But goes to show, it is best to fess up, even for a genuine mistake, as things do get recorded and monitored.0 -
Good afternoon everyone

From a womble this morning.
Vs Morries
1 x ASDA Tiger Chest Bread (400g) £0.80 £0.75
2 x Neutrogena Visibly Clear Rapid Clear Treatment (15... £7.00 £4.66
The neutrogena is more expensive everywhere else, so M's price is a good one. I think it's this:
