  • In the priority leaflet it states that the bonus token "is exclusively for first time bookers and will not be accepted with any other application".

Does that mean we can't use the word EASY for online applications too? Or am I missing something?
  • Applied for a railcard earlier - but my LO is under 5 so doesn't get a ticket in any case. Do the family tickets work for just adults ?
    > Tangent :D

You can still buy a ticket for your under 5 year old and get the discount on the adults.

I literally just got back from a holiday to Butlins Minehead last Friday that I booked through the Sun.

I have been 4-5 times now through the Sun.

It is much cheaper than paying direct through Butlins for half term breaks but apparently you may get it cheaper through Butlins direct if you are booking term time.

I'm looking to try and book a 7 night holiday in August to Butlins which I have worked out as £571 for 3 people half board in Silver accommodation. Booking direct with Butlins would cost me £1,384! So a whacking great saving.

Last week (Easter half term) cost me £268 half board in a Silver room and would have cost just under £600 if booked through Butlins.

I hope this has helped. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Also, some has asked before about the accomodation. If you choose half board then you just get a room, which is okay for us as we only use it to sleep in. If you don't pay half board you then get a self catering apartment which means room, kitchen diner with seating area. You can pay a small fee pp for an upgrade to silver, which I highly recommend. But if you upgrade any further then you are paying the full park price and won't get any savings by booking through the Sun.

    :)

Did you pay for passes and bedding? I do like silver x

Good tip thanks. What about the bedding charge? don't really want to lug duvets and pillows too lol x
Didn't pay for linen but beds were made up anyway even though basic accommodation. We invested in sleeping bags last year, not the nylony sort but cotton so they're just like a duvet with cover really, the kids ones even have built in pillows. We're in profit already with the linen charges we've saved plus it takes all of two seconds to make the beds when you arrive. If beds are made up we just unzip the bags and use them as quilts on top of the bedding, if not we use them in bag mode. They pack up really small as well.

Yeah I did as we use all the facilities at Butlins and we pay for linen which isn't much, so the prices I have quoted include linen and passes.

Went to Butlins Skegness last year via the sun booked with my friends code she didn't need that time. It works out loads cheaper if you don't fall for the hype and buy lots of extras and upgrades. we found we didn't need passes anyway so I am so glad we didn't pay for them.

I'm looking at Haven sites, (first time sun holiday booker so loads of questions) In general do you know if you are able to buy entertainment passes from the park direct if you don't book them with the Holiday ? If so are they more expensive than booking with the Sun ?

We were never once asked for passes or anything at Skegness and we used all facilities - even those who had paid for passes didn't physically receive a pass.
