wish me luck! though based on past experience i'll prob end up depressed with no jeans and chowing down on a mcdonalds large meal to cheer myself up!!
I always found TopShop jeans were made for people with less bum and more belly!
For skinny jeans, M&S do some nice ones that are flattering.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
I'm another one voting for Gap Curvy jeans, they are the only ones I wear

I've not worn mine for the best part of 7 months though as sproglet #2 is now overdue but I am definitely looking forward to getting back into them in the hopefully not too distant future!!Whether you think you can or you can’t, you’re probably right ~ Henry Ford0 -
My issues were solved when I had a free personal shopper thingy in Debenhams. I tried on jeans from all the concessions, but ended up with Red Herring ones. I'm a 14-16 too, and they fit like a dream.
Good luck!0 -
I am reading this thread with interest because although I live in jeans, I have terrible trouble finding ones that fit well and that I like. At the moment I have a pair from Sainsburys which fit well but are too big on the waist and even with a belt keep slipping down and a pair from BHS which fit well but I am not that keen on the shape.
I really want some skinny jeans as I like the look of them but every time I try a pair on they seem so tight on my legs, especially around my knees (I have fat knees!) that I immediately take them off as they feel so uncomfortable.
So my question is, am I not trying the right skinny jeans on or do they start off really tight and then loosen?

I only buy Levi curve or Gap Always Skinny.
I have Levi Curve in a 33 waist but I'm only a 31 so they are smaller made I'd say.
I love my skinny jeans and I'm a size 16, 14 on top so they can be flattering

I'm having trouble finding a nice pair of white jeans , i have tried a few pair on and end up looking like a bag of spuds in them, either that or the dreaded camel toe :eek:If it has tyres or testicles, it's gonna give ya problems..

Iwould just like to add that bootcut are the most unflattering jeans you can buy. I am quite slim but when I try on bootcut they make my legs look short and fat. Straight jeans are probably the best option. You can buy some very nice straight/slim jeans in the Per Una brand at M&S. A bit pricy at around £30 but worth it for the good cut. There are different leg sizes, long medium or short. The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0

I am a curvy pear shape and have awful time finding jeans that flatter. I have to say french connect skinny jeans are the best IMO, fit like a glove and really flattering a bit pricey at £65 but worth itDF as at 30/12/16

Update....
Well just back from the evil out of town shopping centre....
I went into topshop and tried on a pair of "Jamies" which weren't actually as bad as I imagined, they have a higher waist than most skinnies so that helped. OK my thighs looked pretty chunky but that's because my thighs ARE chunky. I thought of my friend who is the same as me and always looks nice in skinnies on a night out. In was going to buy some in the dark denim, but they didn't have my size so will order online. And.... I fitted into a 14 just fine....yay! Its my hen night next weekend so they will look nice with heels and a posh top.
Went into Gap and bought a pair of their curvy jeans in a 32" waist for day to day wear. They fitted well in the shop but time will tell as to how they look one I have "worn them in".
Thanks to everyone for your help. I really appreciate it :-)0 -
