    Glad to help Martin. :)

    Malc
    Official Company Representative
I am an official company representative of E.ON. MSE has given permission for me to post in response to queries about the company, so that I can help solve issues. You can see my name on the companies with permission to post list. I am not allowed to tout for business at all. If you believe I am please report it to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com This does NOT imply any form of approval of my company or its products by MSE"

I wouldnt ignore it, as it can lead to discon the op never stated in the first post if she was paying another supplier. Also the notice could of been in another letter. And yes I deal with warrants at court on a daily basis

I'd ignore this post too, as it too is unneccessarily alarmist.

For your information, I too have a daily interaction with court processes and procedures ... I just love watching Judge Judy! :D

I especially love the way she rips into the shoulda woulda coulda brigade that always appear to come up with such excuses when getting to the nitty gritty of their stories.

She also has another apt word for comments like yours ... Baloney!

I could only comment on the information present at the time, also occupier letters and investigation letters are sent to on supply propertys with occupier accounts and yes it can lead to disconnection if you dont respond.
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
  • I got the same letter:

"FAO The Occupier/ Landlord UTILITY INVESTIGATION"

    I emailed them back:

    "To Whom It May Concern:

    Your case ref: xxxxx

    Address:
    xxxxx

I am the owner and resident of the above property. I purchased the house, (owned-mortgage), on xxxxx and moved in on xxxxx.

The gas and electric supply was British Gas but I changed provider xxxxx to Ecotricity. I have settled in full with British Gas what I owed them (for the dates between when I took legal ownership and when provider changed) and British Gas will confirm this.

I do not know the previous owners name or address. As far as I am aware, the property was vacant for several months before my purchase completed. However I cannot comment or speculate on previous issues before I took ownership of the property.

If your enquiries relate to before the xxxxx then direct your enquiries to the previous owner and do not contact me again.

    Yours sincerely,"

Do nothing. There is no obligation for you to respond and it costs you time and money to do so.

Energy theft and unpaid accounts are now rampant and almost out of control thanks to the liberalised energy market, lax procedures by energy cos and nanny state which protects debtors rights eg. oh ive got children, you cant cut me off,,blah, blah blah...
Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..
