Yes I have thanks, I've got really into cooking this year
It's the silver lining of having no money and staying in, I'm becoming a much more adventurous cook!

Today's spend has been £20 on seeds for salad leaves, a herb and a chilli kit. Percy Thrower, eat yer heart out. It was an unplanned spend, but I've taken £5 off the grocery budget for the next 4 months as I don't intend to be buying salad or herbs.
I don't mind spending money... well, at all, that's why I'm a DFW and not DF!
What I mean is, sometimes spending money can be an 'investment' to prevent spending more in the long run and preventing false economy.
I have a 'worth spending on' list, although most of this will have to wait until I have money that is currently paying down the debt...- Birkenstocks - I've had a pair that have seen my through 8 summers, April to September, pretty much every day. They 'died' last year, but even though they cost £50ish, they didn't owe me anything. At the moment I'm on cheapo equivalents which I'm not convinced will even last this year.
- Whetstone - There's no one local to me who does knife sharpening so I'd like to get and learn how to use a whetstone. A skill for life, plus nice sharp knives.
- Mooncup - Read no more if you're sensitive about 'lady things'. It's an alternative to disposable sanitary items. I have one, it's fab (or as fab as these things are) and saves me about £7 a month and is much more environmentally friendly. Google it. You'll either go "Ewww, gross!" or "Great idea, why did no one tell me?"
- Capsule Wardrobe - I am hardly the most coordinated person in the word and, aside from eBay finds, I hate clothes shopping, so the idea of having a dozen quality 'key pieces' for each half of the year appeals greatly.

if you have a costco memebrship or know someone who does, go & look, my local one (Croydon) had them going for 26 quid. But I concur, I live in my birkies all summer long.I don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.

OK, trying something here. A 'snapshot' of my spreadsheet I use showing a month in progress and a future month. I've changed the ££ to random amounts so they don't contain any of my specific transaction amounts/ details (which is just as well as this shows me going horribly over my OD limit each month and I certainly don't do that!!!).

Eeeeexciting, my plant stuff all arrived today. So I have a plant seeded and on my windowsill at work ready to bring forth the chills. Salas leaf seeds and herb kit have been sent home with husband in the car as I'm working late and don't fancy carting them about on the bus. Is meant to be glorious here at the weekend (already is, towels out on the line, happy days) so husband's daughter and I can do a bit of crop sowing and then clear off to the beach! Yay!
Not a no spend day. It is best friend's birthday next week, so present just purchased for her. Also Number 2 nephew will be 10 and is steadfastly refusing to let me know what he wants and I don't like giving cash.
Can't WAIT for next year when my 'present purse fund' gets set up and everything will be taken care of. Typing that 'out loud' makes me wonder why I can't do it for the remainder of this year... Will take a look at the Spreadsheet of Wonder and if it's possible, clip myself around the ear for being a daft bat.
Another 99p sale on eBay, a skirt that was automatically relisted and I'd forgotten about. Only sold on Monday so have sent a message of apology and will send it off tomorrow.Debt 2008 - Approx £20k | April 2014 £6526 | 30 October 2015 DEBT FREE

Well, Nephew #2 is apparently saving (very good) for clothes and wants Primarni vouchers. He will be 10. Obviously has got about 3 generations worth of clothes shopping gene that missed everyone else.
I wonder if he'll be looking for some long purple boots like the ones of my sister he used to love clip-clopping up and down the street in when he was 2? Love him.
He'll be getting a tenner as no Primarni in Cornwall.Debt 2008 - Approx £20k | April 2014 £6526 | 30 October 2015 DEBT FREE

Why do I not have a full crop of chillis less than 24 hours after planting seeds.
Why? Why? Why?
