Don't bother, tastes ok but nothing special & as my ds said on opening one, is this playdoh? The colour is really weird, think it is supposed to be champagne colour but just looks a weird dull grey.

Is there actually a champagne flavoured Magnum ice cream?! Is that what we're talking about here!?
I genuinely presumed 'anniversary champagne magnum' meant someone whose anniversary it was was having a magnum of champagne to celebrate and ShirePiskie therefore wanted some fizz...:rotfl:duh!Debt Free I FFEF I Building Savings I 2025 Plan:- Regular Savings £8,200/£10,000

Anniversary magnum of champagne would be a whole other story, you wouldn't see me for dust! I love bubbly!
NOW I'm thinking about the two bottles I've got at home and if husband will notice they're not still there for our anniversary in a few weeks.

Ooh you'll love this then - our wedding table names are types of champagne!!
And the table names themselves will be the actual bottles!
Mind you, they will be empty bottles, I have 4 in stock so far, ready for an excuse to be drunk :T:T:T:T:T:T

I think this MSE DFW business has addled my brain!
Lovely husband made my lunch for me today, very grateful, very yummy... BUT I am secretly appalled by the amount of tinfoil he has wrapped it in!!!! Needless to say I have wiped it down and folded it up for re-use!
HELP ME!!!
(I think this stems from my Mum collecting milk bottle tops for a charity for the blind when I was little and I always thought that milk bottle tops were actually the money that blind people used. So still in my head foil things = expensive. I probably need professional help! :rotfl:)Debt 2008 - Approx £20k | April 2014 £6526 | 30 October 2015 DEBT FREE

I've just posted this on the 'Banking' board, but wondered if anyone over here at DFW Towers had any thoughts (apologies if it goes over stuff I've already said in my diary, I've cut and pasted it)???
I currently have a standard current account with HSBC and have banked with them for 20 years (yikes, I'm old). I have a longstanding £750 overdraft which I go up to, or close to, every month and part of my debt free plan is to have this reduced to £500 in September and no longer needed by April next year.
I'm tempted by the switching 'bonus' from First Direct (which would go towards reducing the overdraft) and that they (typically) offer a lower rate of interest on their overdraft (would also help in bringing my OD free date forward).
Looking at their current offer am I right in thinking the first £250 of an overdraft is interest free? Or is this if you only have up to a £250 overdraft?
Also, how easy is it to switch bank accounts with an overdraft/ negative balance? Is it possible at all? I was wondering if the fact I have it with HSBC, part of the same banking group, would 'help'?
My credit record is sound and I don't really want to go through the application process if it's likely I'll be turned down and have that search on my credit record for no reason, so I'm turning to the wisdom of MSE in the first instance.
Cheers my lovely DFWs.Debt 2008 - Approx £20k | April 2014 £6526 | 30 October 2015 DEBT FREE

Hi ShirePiskie
Just catching up with your diary and saw your query about switching from a HSBC current account to a First Direct current account. The guy I work with has just switched to First Direct this week but he was with Yorkshire Bank. I am with HSBC (OD £3,500 ) and he said that I couldn't switch to First Direct as I already had an account with the same group. He said he read this in the T&C's but I haven't checked myself so can't testify this to be correct but don't think he would have made it up.
