Enjoy your Guinness well deserved. Had many trip run since moving into my house. Sure I have muscles now. Worked hard today in garden as well and a nsd.

Haven't got too excited about being under 7k, still seems a long way to go yet. Tomorrow picnic out boyfriend providing it so no spending for me except petrol to get to his house.

Hope your fruit machine sale goes through.

    Evening all,

As far as Mondays go today was ok although I hadn't realised that I'd run out of things for the lunch box so had to buy a cheeky lunch at work for £5 and also fill the car up with diesel.

I contacted the guy about the fruit machine, he says he does want it but is just struggling to sort transport. He offered to pay via bank transfer to reassure me but I said cash on collection is fine as I don't really want to give out bank info. I'll be glad when it's gone as proceeds will go towards CC1.

I have just logged in to online banking tonight and paid another £50 off CC1 bringing the balance to £1550 so getting there :)
I'm not sure how much more I'll be able to pay off this month, will have to see how things go!

    Have a good evening everyone.

Fruit machine sale sounds hopeful. Well I also paid some money off cc but my 61.00 to clear one card, then had to factor in bal tf fee of 34.00 annoying but its moving in the right direction, not as fast as yours but no interest to worry about now. :T

    Good afternoon all,

Well no success in getting the fruit machine collected yet but when I last messaged the guy I said I need it gone in two weeks and we are still in week one.

I've listed a rare model train on ebay today that I hope if it sells will go for over £100. I will throw whatever it makes after fees at CC1.

I hope everyone is ok, Tomorrow is Friday :T

Well your right Friday is here. Looking forward to a chill out weekend, feel shattered.
Good luck with your selling. Can't think I have anything more to sell. Trying my hardest to get a new lodger one leaves today and other moves out end of the month. These to be fair just hide in their rooms which has been ace, too tired after their work placements in the local zoo.

Have a good weekend, with minimum spending.:rotfl:

    Afternoon all,

Well, what a few days it's been! Friday was a real nightmare at work.

Had a lovely couple of days at home this weekend working in the garden and seeing a friend. Me and my wife did reward ourselves for the hard work we did on Saturday in the garden with a take away curry (paid out of joint account which we budget and manage well).

Yesterday was another rubbish day at work and today isn't great, I'm really disliking my job at the moment but it pays the bills!

Money wise, I haven't managed to clear anything else off the debt this month and I'll be cutting it fine so probably won't have excess to throw at it left. £60 will go for CC2 DD and that will be it. Pay day is in two weeks so hopefully it'll be ok.
Next month I will pay smaller amounts off throughout month to leave myself a bigger buffer in my bank account.

No fruit machine sale yet and ebay listing doesn't end til weekend.

Anyway, I better get back to work.

Have a good rest of Tuesday everyone.
  • Well done. You have nearly halved your debt already. The tunnel light is getting nearer...:T

    Afternoon all,

Well it's been an interesting week at work. busy to say the least.

Money wise I'm feeling a bit down. I've got so in to this 'clear my debt' mind set that I feel down whenever I spend money on myself. eg. today I bought a small tent from Argos for £43 which I need for various trips coming up. I shouldn't feel bad about it because I've cleared £700+ of debt since last pay day but I do feel bad.

I think it's because until pay day (2 weeks) my bank account is lower than I'm comfortable with and I can't make any more payments to the debt at the moment as the money in the account is earmarked.

Oh well, at least the sun is shining and tomorrow is Friday again :T

Think you have enjoy life as well. Brought home to me whilst I was away was going to visit relative, but she is now only awake 3 hrs a day, cervical cancer latter stages. She was well at xmas and living an active life. So a little spending is allowed its essential I find. Not one ever to get depressed but this debt thing can take over your life.

Saying that bought myself a skirt, felt so guilty took it back but got home and have one very similar well nicer in my wardrobe, never worn just need to cut out cakes and choccy next few weeks for it to fit better .

@Calling14 Sorry to hear about your relative. I'm glad to see from your diary you enjoyed your mini break though :)

I agree I need to stop feeling guilty about spending a bit on myself, I just need to keep it in moderation to ensure this debt is cleared ASAP.

Ok an update, I went away for the weekend to something I take part in a few times a year. Had a great time and didn't spend anything apart from fuel to and from (was a 3 hour journey each way though). I will be going back for next weekend but this time I will need to buy provisions so will call in at Aldi one evening this week.

Some good news, the model I listed on ebay sold for £140, out of that I need to pay fees and postage but I'm happy with that amount.

Now the bad news, I got to work and found I had a completely flat rear tyre. :( I've pumped it up and it seems to be holding pressure so I'll see how it is in the morning but it looks like I may need a trip to the garage (bye bye ebay profit). Ah well these things happen.

At the moment my account balance is ok as I'm being cautious. I just need to make it last until next week which is payday.

The guy never got back to me about the blinking fruit machine, Argh I want it gone. I have a busy few weeks but when things calm down I'll relist it on FB.

Now I'm back from work I plan to have a chilled evening and an early night because I had late nights over the weekend so am feeling tired.

    :)
