    Afternoon all,

I've just logged into the online banking and paid another £30 off the CC. I'm down to my last £100 for this month to keep me going for 9 days until pay day so I will have to be very careful. I made the payment of £30 to the CC to stop me thinking along the lines of "oh sod it, instead of sandwiches today at work I'll get a KFC" or anything similar.

I have an opticians appt tomorrow and know I will need new glasses so that will be a good chunk of next months money :( I've got a massive scratch on one lense and have been putting it off for months but I really need to get it sorted.

    Keep smiling everyone :)

I forgot to mention, I had a letter through the post saying they were increasing my CC limit by £1500 which I obviously don't want.

I have phoned the bank and not only cancelled the limit increase but actually decreased it by £2000 whilst I was on the phone :)

I have also opted out of auto limit increases.

Good for you I never even think of doing that. Should review all my cards sometime.

Very close to 4k mark I just now want to be under 5k but can't see that happening until May unfortunately. No where else I can cut back.

    MILESTONE ALERT!!! :j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j

I have just made a payment of £130 to the CC meaning the total has now dropped below the £4k mark :T:T:T:T:T

It's been a long time coming with various expenses over the last few months but wow what a feeling :)

There's a while left to go but I can begin to see the spec of light at the end of the tunnel!

I need to pay for some new glasses this month as I've managed to put a big scratch down one of the lenses. I therefore can't guarantee what other payments I can make to the CC but will see how things go.

In the meantime my total is now £3990 :)

Ok, unintended as I was hoping to pay more off at a later date once I knew costs of glasses etc but it appears Halifax have taken £120 of my DD today so the balance is now down to £3870!

Definitely good to see the balance drop although I would of preferred to keep it in my account for a while as a buffer.

    It's FRIDAY :)

    Thanks lcc86.

Well there definitely won't be any more debt busting pre payday as opticians and new glasses set me back quite a lot of dosh!

I've got my new glasses now and have been wearing them for 3 days. The prescription has slightly changed in one eye and I'm having a nightmare getting used to it. Will see if the problem persists after a week longer and then will return to the opticians if not happy.

Next week I'm on a course in London, I've got to pay my upfront travel costs but can then claim them back from work. Not ideal but oh well.

Payday is end of next week and it can't come soon enough.

    Have a good weekend everyone.
