Yep, totally normal in my experience, I started growing at about 8, got my 1st period at 9. I think it is normal to start developing about 1-2 years before periods start but this is not an exact science so don't quote me! Never did get the huge boobs everyone predicted I would get as an early starter though, still only just a borderline B cup and was an A until I had my son!

    HTH;)

Sorry to double post. Every girl is so different! When I was 15 I was friends with a 12 year old. I was an AA cup (Didnt get first bra until I was 14) and she was a C cup! She started her periods at 8 and got her first bra (an A cup) when she was 8. I didnt start my periods until I was 15, which means Ive had less years of putting up with it :D

Primark do some really nice first bras - I have bought my daughter a good selection from several shope - and she likes her soft primark bras the best (have trouble getting them for washing to be honest !!!)

I get my bras from here!! they always seem to have a wide selection from plain and pretty to 'strictly for the bedroom'! in all different sizes.

the cost is great as well so even as your daughters bust grows its not going to cost an arm and a leg.

Ignore above, M&S is by far the best.

    pardon?
i was giving my opinion, i recently had a baby and had to go and get measured about 4 times as my breasts kept getting bigger. when the first 2 times they were right, when i was 7 months i went again and they measured me at 34 b. that is smaller than i was before i was pregnant (i was a 36 c) and i went again to get nursing bras and they measured me at 40dd! (i was 38 d)
the girl was all over the place and had no idea that you shouldn't wear underwire when pregnant.
i went to bravissimo and they were great. but like i said they start at a d cup and are too big for a first bra.

Peacocks do lots of different styles, and they're quite cheap. I'm a slightly awkward size, but if your daughter is something like a 30/32 aa/a, i think you'll find some. It's when you have a womanly ribcage, but next to no bazooms you get problems!

Thanks for the advice- maybe it's time to get those 'growing up' books out of the library- I mentioned it to her last night that she might be starting to begin the change into a lady because her hair has started getting greasy between it's weekly washes.

She's also been getting blocked pores for the last six months or so- at 8yo! Poor thing! I've encouraged her to clean her face properly, and exfoliate it gently with a face cloth.
