Thanks for the quick reply. So despite the fact I've never responded to them before with regards to this ticket, and this is the first letter I'm sending UKPC regarding this ticket, should I date it for today? The PCN was originally issued on the 12/02/14
I just don't want to do something that could come back to bite me in the bum.
Really appreciate the support from everyone here, it's unbelievable, and really is much appreciated.0 -
Yep, date it today. It's pretty academic what date you put on it as the PPC will rightly assume it was posted two days before they receive it."The darkest places in hell are reserved for those who maintain their neutrality in times of moral crisis." - Dante Alighieri0

Do NOT use Recorded Delivery (Signed For) as they may well refuse to sign for it, and then you're sunk.
You are dealing with very devious people here.
Just get a free Certificate of Posting and it is legally deemed to have been received 2 days later.0 -

I thought you said that you had not responded to them - so do not tell any untruths and do NOT use Recorded Delivery (Signed For) as they may well refuse to sign for it, and then you're sunk.

As others have said, just get a free Certificate of Posting and it is legally deemed to have been received 2 days later.0 -
Look, if you're going to send the letters just send them, it can't do any harm, but it will not do any good either. You're making far too much of this.Je suis Charlie.0

as above, stop trying to be clever , dont lie , stick to the facts and stick to the advice given

A gentle reminder to search this forum, pleeeease.
This continued questioning on this thread is unneeded. We know it's all new to you but the best way you can learn about this scam is from other people's experiences. That's why I suggested, please search this forum. Far better than post after post suggesting that you haven't noticed/read all the HUNDREDS of other debt recovery plus threads here. It would save our sanity if people could just search to read what's been said before, otherwise (sorry to say) it is like Groundhog Day on this forum.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I just wanted to give an update. DRP sent another letter. You can read what they wrote here:

What would be the best advice for this?0 -

The same advice you've had above - debt collector letters can be ignored. You will get a number of these until they give up and the advice will be the same.
The ONLY things to watch out for are a Letter Before County Court Action issued by either UKPC themselves or a Solicitor acting on their behalf or actual County Court Papers.
This is all in the NEWBIES thread post #4 Debt Collector Stage which you should read as previously advised

Thanks for responding. Judging by Post #4, I think I should be ok to just ignore these letters now - I'm hoping.0
