Disputed cancellation of orange contract

Hi Sorry to piggyback this thread but I also have a problem with Orange .
I have never had a debt in my 65 yrs ,now thanks to Orange/EE lodging a default my credit score has dropped from excellent to fair -all because I refused to pay them £24 which I disputed.
I won't drag out the full story suffice it to say they I wanted a payg sim & was sold something which I never asked for & then found impracticable to stop. They repeatedly miss this point that I have never received nor signed any agreement yet they tried to hold me to a monthly contract.
I don't like being screwed with by incompetents but if they had shown anything like the ruthless efficiency resolving the issue that they applied to messing up my credit record whilst chasing this paltry sum (now £80),then this would never have occurred.
I have complained to cicas as I was recently declined credit for the first time in my life.
