If you want to look at this on an intellectual level, as you once said you did, it has been scientifically proved that laxatives make no difference whatsoever to weight loss. It just harms your health. So if you take them you are just following the rules of the anorexic habit.

I read a story about a girl with anorexia in the DM and it gave a link to this. I don't know if its any good to you melly but it might help to talk to someone when you find yourself doing this kind of stuff.

I am glad you are getting it under control though. The thing is melly - my daughter had an eating disorder. I recommended all kinds of self help books and helplines that I researched. However, at the end of the day you know what - she found her own solution.

Sometimes I think you know yourself better than anyone else and you know what you respond to, know what presses your buttons. Things other people say to you sometimes click a bit but really the solution, (and I am not talking about just controlling it.) the solution is in your own head.

I said to my daughter the other day well done for finding a way out and she said she knew a lot of things people suggested would not work for her, she had to sort it out in her own head.

I hope the treatment works for you, but if not, maybe that is something to think about.
