Is anyone also doing GFK Consumerjury? www.consumerjury.co.uk

I've been doing it a month or so and, while it's not like consumerpulse in that you have a guarantee of points for every item you buy and you can earn points for a voucher, there's a prize draw system with what seems to be a reasonable chance of winning a voucher. I was delighted with a £5.00 voucher today and I've only put a few purchases on.

It's similar but different. They are interested in homeware purchases, paint and decorating materials and also online purchases. There's also a postal/junk mail section which is good fun.

I have to force myself to laugh when people suggest thinsg to me which revolve around a prize offer if you win:

I ahve done so many survey and opinion sites where there is an offer to win something as oppose to payment, I must be the only person who has never in my life won anything- not even a raffle- I did the lottery every month ('lucky' dip) for about 4 years. Never even got £10. I am now taking the stand that it is something I should laugh at, that if I wanted to make money, I should place a bet on me not winning anything.

But goodluck to those who do win anything, just incase anyone wonders, I have been doing competition/survey etc sites- consumperjury included for years. I have recently given them up (just the prize or sweepstakes ones) as a result of never winning.
Good luck to everyone else. Its good to know it want all a farce or someone laughing at my expense, and there were real prizes, just that I never won any.

As September means Back to School for many of you, this month?s quiz is in the form of a maths lesson to get those brain cells working!

It was the first day at school.

The teacher suggested that it would be a good idea for each child to meet every other child in the class. The teacher said, ?When you meet, please shake hands and introduce yourself by name.

If there were 9 children in the class, how many total handshakes were there?

Please e-mail answers to: competitions@consumerpulse.co.uk The first name selected at random will win 100,000 points into their reward account with two runners up receiving 50,000 each.

anyone know the awnser?

Each child would shake hands 8 times, therfore the answer would be 8X9 so that would be 72.

Is that correct.

Yep that is correct :D
Wins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.
• The correct answer is 36.
The question asks how many handshakes there would be. If each child shakes hands 8 times that means that 2 children are shaking hands with each handshake, so the answer is half of 72 = 36

There is no excuse for rudeness. Ignorance on the other hand is excusable – you don’t know what you’re talking about.
• The answer is indeed 36, Monkeymo is right
