I find Ikea expensive for the quality you get, I prefer buying good quality second-hand/approaching antique. Furniture that's already lasted 50+ years will probably last another 50+, and you can always strip/sand/polish/paint/personalise it if you don't like the finish0

Quite honestly, I wouldn't buy IKEA anyway - what with their shops and crap furniture, they are best avoided...:mad:
Buy crap, pay crap, get crap.
Simple as that.
