I was thinking the same - this happened to us when we decided the large screws left over were not needed ;)

If that's the same model bed my nephew bought (looks very similar), it appears he's left the supports out!

    No wonder it's broken.

There's loads of bits missing, you can see the slats rolled up in the bottom left corner.

I think the sides have been put on upside down as well as the way the support is situated near the top, once you put the slats on the mattress would be almost level with the top of the sides

Instructions was followed and all screws etc used. This was less than a year ago. It's collapsed because it's !!!!py chip board and the bolts (or whatever the contraption is called) has just ripped straight out of the material leaving it irrepairable!
It's a completely poor quality product, as are so many of their products and certainly not designed to last even a basic amount of time!

Damn ikea and their hypnotic advertising ! Never again !

I've found ikea pretty good at returns, contact them and see what they say.

Our whole house if furnished with Ikea and we have never had any problems, even with the beds when me and the misses weighed in at a combined weight of over 40 stone (:embarasse) and sometimes got quite vigorous ;)
