Excel Disabled Bay

Options
Hi
I received a parking ticket from excel today for parking in a disabled bay at 9pm @ night I was gone for 15 minutes. But thought it would b ok since it was the time of night! Do I have to pay this since it wasn't issued by a government official ?

Please don't hijack other people's threads, go to the main parking forum and read the sticky threads at the top. Then create your own thread for advice.
When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

Yes, read the Newbies sticky for all the info you need to see-off Excel then maybe go and re-read the posting guidelines you just agreed to.

    Hi

Why on earth are you using a disabled bay? OK so the BB scheme doesn't even apply on private land but if you are not disabled yourself what are you doing there? Trying to get free parking, or being extra lazy? Assuming disabled people don't come out after dark?!

Unless you have a disability you are blocking a bay for a disabled person, surely you realise that?

Having said that, you can avoid a small claim defence situation by appealing this and winning at POPLA like we always do. Please come back to the forum, start again at square one and don't pass 'go' until you've read the 'NEWBIES PLEASE READ THIS FIRST!' thread at the top:

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=163

I would stick with the tried and tested wording for the simple 2 stage appeal. At POPLA stage we win every time, 100% record, so follow the NEWBIES thread including how to win at POPLA in due course and you'll be fine, just like all these newbies were:

You appear to have missed the advice and templates which were under your nose right here all the time, so far.

DO NOT IGNORE THE FAKE PCN BUT PLEASE TELL US YOU WILL NOT PARK SO SELFISHLY AGAIN.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

And maybe have a read of this thread, and, once again, wonder why private car parks are infested with PPCs?

There again, perhaps PPCs do provide some form of perverse service to those less fortunate members of our 'caring' society.

Well, possibly not so caring when it saves a few extra yards of walking!
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
