I get the heel and toe silver socks from the mens section from M&S for all of us. I hate matching socks and these are all slightly different so are easy to pair up. They last well and come in ribbed or non ribbed. DS and I have narrow feet and like the ribbed DD and DH like non ribbed. They come in different sizes too.Plus, they don't stink!Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0

I buy socks from Tesco, M&S and Primark and they all seem fine. Primark knickers are rubbish though.0

Buy socks when on clearout sale and cheap
Tesco clearouts are often really cheap aim for less than 50p pair.
When in the USA I get loads of cheap white sports(mutliple lengths) for the summer and shorts, cycle them to keep them as white as possible, then wear them out over the winter under jeans.
Under 50p a pair last long enough
Make sure the shoes are good, proper fit and nails trimmed socks wear much better.
Another route is no socks
discovered Merrell glove/barefoots no socks or noshow or extra comfy thin like green treats.0 -
I buy M&S socks for my husband and they last for years. The last ones I bought were these and they haven't gone hard:

That makes sense. Generally, I find cotton or cotton blend are the ones to go hardWarning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac0
