First, reference to Channel Haulage Limited being dormant. That may well have been the position of the Company in 2013 when dormant accounts were filed for the previous accounting period. However the Company may have subsequently commenced trading and we won't be able to confirm that until the next accounts are filed, so maybe a red herring and do Councillors have to declare directorships in dormant companies?

A little more digging (what else is there to do on a sunny Good Friday:D).

The details for ukcarpark.co.uk on WHOIS show the registrant to be Chromex Group

Councillor Gagan Mohindra's email as a councillor is also @chromexgroup.com and his connection to that Company is also declared in the Members Interest declaration. I think that comprehensively ties Cllr. Mohindra to UK Car Park (if there was any doubt).

Chromex Group Limited are a property management and investment Company (formerly a furniture business:huh:) and amongst the assets they currently hold are car parks.

That's kind of a circular argument, if it is no longer dormant then it should declared, if it is still dormant then it shouldn't be trading.

That's who owns the domain name, Chromex may also own all of the shares in Channel Haulage, but Mr Mohindra is listed as a director.

Yes, thinking about you are probably right, but then again reading this for another council

    http://www.basildon.gov.uk/article/489/Councillors---Declaration-of-Interest

Seems they only have to declare interests within the council area or connected to the council.

Yes, agreed, but it does confirm a connection between Mohindra and UK Car Park.

Our parish councillors have to declare all interests, business and pleasure. Pleasure being the likes of RSPB etc. Pecunary interests only apply if that particular interest is being discussed.

The interest he has declared is in Mayfair, London, which (I don't believe) falls into the Epping Forest area.

And duitable, haven't you ever heard of it? It's like suitable but spelt by someone with fingers bigger than the keys on their phone (i.e. a typo - thanks for the spot).

Ho Ho - and here was me reaching for the dictionary thinking this was some lawyer 'techospeak' term I hadn't come across before. LOL ;)

The man is a councillor for goodness' sake, so if you have evidence of wrongdoing such that you can't be accused of libel or slander why aren't you taking it to Epping Forest Council, the Epping local press, the Epping Conservative Party, Uncle Tom Cobley and all?

Keep digging and you will find a mention of "This is Furniture Ltd"

    https://www.opencompany.co.uk/company/03073718/this-is-furniture-limited

With registered office in an elegant Georgian Building in Mayfair with a blue plaques. The actual address in Epping is a scruffy detached house with a white van parked in front.
