Hi, my daughter received a private parking ticket from this company, which was issued in an empty lot where she had frequently parked previously. There was, she noticed after receiving it, a very small sign telling people parking to pay by phone. When I called the company, I got the answer message from a company called Brunel Estates. I emailed them on ukcarpark - apparently this is the parent company - not appealing, but asking why their phone number is for a different company and why there is no PCN number on the ( very amateurish) ticket. Does anyone know this company, and should I just follow the advice guide for newbies on this one?
Thanks for any guidance.

Confusing. Can you post up the ticket (redacted of identifying details)?

OP I assume this was a windscreen ticket? If so wait for the Notice to Keeper.

This appears to be their website

A distinct lack of BPA or other trade association logos on their site, can't see them on the BPA list of approved operators. The FAQ page also makes no reference to any form of independent appeal process.

Well done Johno, I did a quick Google but didn't turn that up.

OP, this lot are not members of any DVLA-accredited trade association, which means they have no way of finding the registered keeper's name and address. Please tell us that YOU didn't tell them!

If you haven't given the game away just file and forget, you'll never hear from them again.

Thanks so much for the quick responses, everyone. Yes, it was a windscreen ticket. No, I didn't give address details, but just realised I emailed from work with my work address in the signature. Eek!! But I'm not the registered keeper, my daughter is, so we'll see.
I found their website odd as well. I'll upload a photo of the ticket when I'm on a proper PC, and will keep you posted as to any developments. This happened in North London, so eyes peeled for their "tickets", fellow North Londoners!!

I wouldn't worry about uploading the ticket now, I was just trying to clarify who exactly had issued it and, thanks to Johno, we now know.

So they know your name and where you work but since you weren't the driver and aren't the registered keeper this shouldn't be a problem.

Just wait and see what happens.

Will watch this one with interest.
When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

Just given their website a look over. Only 3 pages - Home, FAQs and 'Pay Charge'.

Unfortunately (for them) there's no facility on the 'Pay Charge' page to actually do so. Business can't be brisk. :rotfl:
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

For some reason the 'pay charge' function is on the home page (via a PayPal link). You have to tell it whether you are in the discount period or not and put all of your details into the free text box (message to seller) on PayPal. A professional outfit indeed.

Not on IPC list either, will be interesting to see if they get postal communication, ie DVLA access. important OP /DD does not contact them with address etc.first.
