Astoundingly Mr. Gagan Mohindra is a councillor in Epping Forest:
http://rds.eppingforestdc.gov.uk/mgUserInfo.aspx?UID=398
He was also Conservative candidate for North Tyneside at the last General Election!
He further put himself forward as a Conservative candidate at this year's European election, but wasn't selected.
mmy, if you could post up that ticket (suitably redacted) I'd be very interested to see it. The activities of an elected representative of the people, and would-be MP/MEP, who is also a parking parasite clearly need further scrutiny!
I don't think you have anything to fear from this chancer. He's not going to want the Epping Forest Guardian to hear about his sordid business activities, nor the voters of whatever parliamentary constituency he pops up in next - especially since, as pointed out above, Channel Haulage Limited is issuing tickets whilst dormant. Furthermore Brunel Estates Management Ltd, of which he is also a director, is behind with its financial returns.

Does anyone think it might be worth a quick email to Mr Mohindra asking him about this company (which he has not declared an interest in on his list of members interests). Maybe we could just ask him to clarify why a dormant company he's listed as a director of is trading and what Accredited Body it is a member of. Oh, and why he hasn't declared it.0

I just thought I'd give him the right of reply. Maybe with a suitably worded line about if satisfactory answers are not forthcoming then I will raise the matter with the Chief Executive of the Council, the Conservative Party and make the press aware.0 -
So this is what I was thinking of sending, comments?Dear Sir,
I am contacting you in regards to your position as a Director of Channel Haulage Limited. This company is listed as dormant by Companies House, yet it now appears to be trading, in that it is now issuing Parking Charge Notices and accepting payment through its website.
Can you please confirm the status of this company and your role within the company as I note that it is not listed as an interest on your Register of Interests.
There have been some concerns regarding the practices of this company, particularly its lack of trade association membership. Can you confirm whether it is a member of a trade association?
The most concerning aspects in this however is that that you do not seem to have declared the company as an interest and it is still listed as dormant.
I welcome your response. However, if no dutiable response is forthcoming I will have to raise my concerns with the Chief Executive of the Council as well as the Conservative Party, and also put the questions to you again in a more public forum.
Yours0 -
You haven't actually mentioned Epping Forest District Council.
What is a "dutiable response"?
The reason I wanted the OP to post up the ticket after all is that every ticket I've seen from a non-ATA member nevertheless threatened to obtain keeper details from DVLA. The technical term for this is "a lie", and I'd like to see whether Mr. Mohindra has engaged in this practice.
Up to you whether you hold off your communication pending seeing this ticket.Je suis Charlie.0 -

No I haven't mentioned the exact council (I was going to give him some credit for knowing which council he sits on) but I'll add it.
And duitable, haven't you ever heard of it? It's like suitable but spelt by someone with fingers bigger than the keys on their phone (i.e. a typo - thanks for the spot).0 -

This is yet another half-baked, shoebox, papermill operation. Why bother? The website tells you everything you need to know. Zero effort has been exerted there and even the payment portal is jerry-rigged in the hope that they hook a few, gullible fish.
Personally, I'd post the PCN back to them with a short letter suggesting that they may want to report the person who has been issuing these blatantly fraudulent tickets to the police. Bearing in mind that whoever is responsible is undoubtedly damaging the company's reputation into the bargain. My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0
