Yes but if he replaced them with Morrison shares was that a good move?

I am in a bit of quandary about Tesco, in that I have been a shareholder for nearly 20 years, but now never shop with them -
    I prefer Lidl and Waitrose:o

Woodford sold his after holding them for about 20 years, *he prefers Morrisons now*.
So my dilemma is whether or not to offload the shares, bearing in mind they would have to fall a very long way to get down to what I paid for them.

They have kept their dividend and your yield (to cost) must be good.

*edit*: Woodford did buy MRW but has since sold the High Income fund's 68.4 million shares in Morrisons.

Oh yes, I read that and said to myself - one year ago, perhaps I need to go for a walk :)

I thought my eyes were playing tricks when you kept on saying 1 year ago so to double check I went down to the comments section on that article and the comments were dated '2 years ago' ;)

I thought mrw cut the dividend in favour of lower prices?

I was referring to melbury's post about their Tesco shares:

I was talking about melbury and their Tesco shares:

Can't understand though how NW would favour Morrison over Tesco. They completely missed the boat with home shopping deliveries and appear to flagging in general.

No but they should have done because there doesn't seem to be any profit in them

    NW sold MRW too:
Woodford disposed of the High Income fund’s 68.4 million shares in Morrisons, raising a whopping £187m. The numbers give a sale price of about 273p a share. Whether Woodford had become disillusioned with his former supermarket favourite, or was getting shot of a company his successor wasn’t keen on, is a moot point.
