Yes but I think that the banking arm is quite separate from the retail arm of the Co-op. The Co-op are a kind of federation of retail businesses. I'm not sure that asset stripping, for any reason to do with the current state of the banking business, would be on the cards.

Then you don't appear to be following the whole story. Myners and Sutherland walked. The issues are deep rooted.

I started shopping in aldi too but only because it's smaller so I can get milk and get out quick but I don't get the hype. The fruit and veg tastes awful, all plastic wrapped and bland.

Quite possibly, although a shiny new Waitrose popped ap a year ago so all of us more discriminating and sensitive types have decamped to there. Maybe what we are seeing is the Aldi/Lidl crowd upgrading and filling the vacuum

Dunno about getting out of my local Aldi quickly....

There is usually a very long queue at the checkouts, they don't seem to have enough tills - I often hear people complaining when waiting at the checkouts and a few that have left their shopping and walked out.

I think it was 2012 that Woodford sold TSCO and he increased his stake in MRW this time last year.

I am in a bit of quandary about Tesco, in that I have been a shareholder for nearly 20 years, but now never shop with them -
I prefer Lidl and Waitrose:o

So my dilemma is whether or not to offload the shares, bearing in mind they would have to fall a very long way to get down to what I paid for them.
