This Episode rather devalues the excellent efforts of the Welcome to Wales campaign. Well done SMR in such an excellent own goal!

Here's a nice 'stinger' recently posted on the SMR FB page.Yet another venue/ attraction that has decided to allow the modern day !!!!!! Turpins also known as Parking Eye Ltd to rake in a fortune from its visitors via their steely eyed, grasping business model.
Given that a return trip to the summit for a family of 4 costs between £68 -£ 94 which seems pretty steep to me anyway (steep ~ mountain railway, geddit?) it's probably fair to say that your operating margins are safely on the side of profitable, so why not use a tiny proportion of that profit to employ a team of car park attendants or a pay on exit system using coded chip coins or similar??
Nope, you've decided to use PE Ltd a gang of social pariahs that sell their services to businesses and other organisations on their proud boast that they launch more court cases against motorists than any other company in their ( shabby, murky) field..
Way to go Snowdon Railway, of course I want to pay nearly £100 to get to an overcrowded summit then get back to the car to learn that I've allegedly breached a contract with these clowns and the loss that they have incurred by my parking in land that they don't own is hundreds of times more than than the amount of revenue that my parking there actually generates for you.......take you railway up to a " mountain" - more of a crisp packet infected plateau actually- and shunt it!!!!
Lots more comments appearing. I wonder if this could become a 'mini Aldi'?

Clarkson should be jailed. Full stop.Je suis Charlie.0 -
I thought I'd posted this here earlier but it seems I'd managed to post it in one of the other threads about this.
I'm assuming this is the same case currently making it's way through the court system and drawing a bit of attention from the press. The judgement is due in the next week or so.

and from that articleA spokesman for SMR said: “We do not manage the car park or administer penalty notices. It is therefore inappropriate for us to comment further.”
Regardless of what they may think It would be helpful to remind them that Its their car park, they allow parking eye to operate and as a result they should be held fully liable for the actions of their agents.
If there are any costs, payouts etc made to the unfortunate motorist then its SMR who should foot the billFrom the Plain Language Commission:

The motorist has won their case, with the judge ruling that the sum of £100 claimed by PE did not bear any relation to their actual loss, which was a £2 underspend on a P&D ticket. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0
