Hi all,
I ended one of my lines with T mobile very recently and just noticed that there was a MNP Early Termination Penalty (VAT Exempt) of nearly £12.00 applied in the final bill.
I had given the company 30 days notice to leave and used the PAC within the notice period.
I am just wondering if it is right for them to charge me on Early Termination in this matter?
Also, shockingly I was charged more than £200 Inc VAT in the final bill (roughly £50 is for the 2nd line that still actives). It showed on the billing webpage that I had gone over my allowance and was charged for that while I clearly did not. I rang the company this afternoon as soon as I noticing this unbelievable charges showed on my bank (Did not really check for it on the bank statement before as I did not expect having these charges at all, and bought quite a lot of things costed more than £200 recently). After being put on hold for more than 1 hours and 17 minutes, the CS representative finally admitted that there was something wrong (but did not say what exactly went wrong and why it happened) with the bill and they will reassess my bill again and let me know the outcome within 7 days blahblah, then the call stopped suddenly and yes, that's it.
Let's see what will happen after 7 days.
To be honest, if the final amount is not this much, I will probably never notice that they've done this to me!! Normally I will not go to the website and check details of the bills as long as I believe they are within "normal range".
Overall, I think it is really important to always check the final bill as sometimes it can be very different from what we actually expected.

Same happened to me
Firstly you will find that you got a credit for part of your line rental
The early termination fee then takes it back. It so they can charge you the full months line rental
As for the data you will wait and wait and wait then they will credit account. Mine took 6 weeks
Make sure you ask them not to take the payment whilst bill is in dispute
Have you made a complaint?
I eventually got a letter from the executive office and recited 2 months line rental as a gesture of good will
The exec office number is 080007900320 -

Hi martin.cat, Thank you for the prompt reply.
Totally unbelievable!! This kind of problem should never happen within a company like EE/Tmobile!!
I honestly really have no ideas about this early termination fee. My contract finished on 3 April, and I used the Pac on 20 March?? When I was on the phone I was told that because I used the Pac before 3 April, I have to pay a fee for the early termination.
Oh gosh! 6 weeks!!! I was thinking to have it all sorted within 7 days!!
"Make sure you ask them not to take the payment whilst bill is in dispute" --??? Can I ask the reason for this please?
I have not yet made any complaint as I just found it out this afternoon. How did you make the complaint? Send an email to the executive office? Thank you in advance for the help.0 -
