Console repair (ripped off)

I don't know consoles etc, but could it be an overheating issue - maybe your power supply (if separate from the device) is not performing as well as the one the shop used?0

File online with the SCC. As already said, if he loses he will have to pay your fees.
Personally id file a claim without a second hesitation.0 -
Further to add, didnt you ask him to connect it up instore to show him the issue before he sent if off?0

File a SCC claim.
It's unlikely you'll get your money back but it might annoy him a bit.
I've seen this time and time again with this independent 'computer shops'. I'm sure there are good ones out there.. just not that many it seems.0 -

Is there much point if I'm unlikely to get my money back?
Cheers for help everyone0 -

I personally think you would have a good chance of getting your money back if you went to the small claims court.
If I was in your situation, I would take it somewhere reputable to get it repaired - possibly even with Sony. At least that way it will come back with a report on what repair has been carried out.
File the report as evidence with the SCC.0
