I bought friends a wooden wine box that had their names and the date they married burnt/engraved into it. I think it was from getting personal and I put a bottle of champagne in it with the view it could be used as a wedding memory box after the wedding.

I love this, I will definetly look into it. I believe they do this sort of thing on NOTHS.

Thanks everyone - I appreciate it!
  • Gettingpersonal.co.uk is a great site, and I believe they have a range which you can have engraved. X
From Starrystarrynight to Starrystarrynight1 and now I'm back...don't have a clue how!
  • I have just remembered another thing that might be good.

A picture of either their house, church they are getting married in, or the place they met.

I have used this company and they are very good

I've actually seen this before and think they're so nice, they're getting married in a registry office/ reception in a non-descript building. They also live in a flat so it's not very pretty. However, this might be perfect for another wedding I'm going to! I would love to receive this myself! I'm a fan of personalised art!

We have had the wedding venue and church done in one.

We are now chronicling each of our houses that we have owned. So far it is our current one, but we will get the other houses we have previously owned done so our life in houses has a story line along our hall wall

Why not support a charity in their names.

    Have a look at https://www.lendwithcare.org

Will they need more "stuff" ?

That, plus your love and attendance at the wedding.
    Hope it goes well, Bob
