Meaningful wedding gift for parents remarriage

My boyfriends mother is getting remarried.
Anyway, we do not know her fianc! very well at all, we have only really met him once.
They have asked for no gifts but we would like to get them something small and meaningful that shows we would like to get to know him more and that we accept their marriage (though others don't).
Does anyone have any ideas?

What about getting them a small, personalised gift with their names engraved on?0

Hi OP,
My mum is also getting remarried and I wasnt sure what to get them as they pretty much have everything so I decided that I would pay for a photographer for the wedding. I know you said something small but maybe you could offer to pay for something small as a wedding gift? maybe the cake or something?0 -
what about a nice photo of them in a nice frame or some nice wine glasses engraved with mr and mrs xxxx0

I bet photo frames and souvenir wine glasses are exactly the sort of clutter they're trying to avoid by saying 'no gifts'!
OP, I'd go for a really nice card with a heartfelt message, and maybe something consumable like a bottle of a wine they like, or a voucher for a meal somewhere really nice.0 -
What about a plant for the garden? Rose bush or a bay tree or something similar - that's what my sister asked for son her recent remarriage!0

they would probably appreciate you taking them out for a meal and making the effort to get to know him much more than a physical gift, tbh.0

Pay for a night away in a hotel (offer for the wedding night, but be prepared it might be taken up for another time)
Pay for a spa visit for the two of them to chill out before or after the wedding.0 -
Thanks for all the suggestions everyone. Though the spa/wedding cake would be great I don't think they'd want us to spend our money on it as they know we are deposit savings and the mum alone is on almost 6 figures. We will be donating to charity too but would like to give them something special - I like the personalised idea but I doubt they'd be into something like photoframes/ flutes - trying to think of something small in size that could be personalised and finding it hard. It also needs to be something we can carry for a long train/coach/bus trip.
Sounds lame but can you get engraved paperweights? Small and pretty inoffensive. Decorative or useful or small enough to be put in a cupboard if they don't like it!!0 -
Have you tried notonthehighstreet.com? It's got loads of brilliant personalised gifts, and I'm sure I've seen Paperweights on there before?0

Not something you'd have on the day but could you put together some photos along with a few other mementoes.... a place name, some confetti, a pressed flower, etc. Maybe like a posh scrapbook they could look through later.0
