Doing quite well, bathrom cleaned, haircut, towels washed and kitchen floor hoovered and mopped.
Waiting for the floor to dry and cuppa to brew then I need to go to the town to get a present for SiL and pop to Mr L whilst in the car too. Plan wil then be a little time in the garden, seeds to sow.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Can't get to kitchen floor to clean as DS painting now.
That means that I will move on to folding the carrier bags. They are taking over my under stairs cupboard and driving me crazy! The cupboard is too big a job to do in one day so will eat it like an elephant!

DH declutter challenge award 🏅⭐️0 -
Have spent all morning preparing a meal for us and 4 guests this evening.
 DH has sanded down the bed head (again!) and did it in the spare bedroom so there is now dust absolutely everywhere, including on the carpet, mattress and curtains.
Q: Why couldn't he take the ****** thing outside?????
A: Because he never thinks of anything beyond what is to be done immediately.
:mad::mad::mad:
I am going out to U3A Family History this afternoon and have told him I want the bedroom cleared up before I go, so that the dust has time to settle again in the adjacent lounge before I get home at 4 pm. Then it will be a mad rush to get the food in the oven and the downstairs clean.

Well my list is not too bad, thanks Natty, considering we've been on our jollies and I had a MOUNTAIN of washing and ironing and a whole week's worth of paid work to catch up on, plus it's still the school holidays, so...Proud to have dealt with our debt. DFW Nerd 1474

I know they are going to hate kennels
but OH and haven't been away alone for 5 years.
Excuse me for butting in Fmess (and Lamewolf), but if you're in the south west I know an absolutely excellent dog sitter who comes to your own house to look after dogs (and cats) while owners are away, and she's used to looking after multiple dog households. Because she wasn't available for the entire 10 days I needed a few years ago, I phoned my vet's surgery and asked if any of their vet nurses would be interested in taking up the slack, and the person who volunteered was actually their receptionist! She's been wonderful over the years, utterly reliable, and my vet is so enamoured of the whole arrangement she said the receptionist could ring her day or night if she had any concerns (I adopt elderly dogs, often with a multitude of health problems). Just a thought.
Peaceful feelings and forgiving vibes heading your way, Ionafan. (I'd have gone ballistic, never mind 'out'.)
OH and I had a lovely time in Brittany and I've spent the whole day finding places to put the new things we bought, all long wanted and will be very cherished. The WM has twirled three times and stuff is drying incredibly quickly, so Mount Foldmore will require attention later. A box of tomatoes we bought were so ripe they were fine in the supermarket and half of them had split by the time we unpacked the car last night. I've roasted most of them and planted the seeds from one of the burst ones that had a touch of the grot around the split - waste not want not.
Mrs Dog is now off to the vet for another cartrophen jab. Flying proper will recommence tomorrow.Better is good enough.0 -
HB that's lovely; as far as I'm concerned, the main thing is that the dogs are happy and properly looked after - end of.:o It's so good that it's no longer "kennels or nothing" if you don't have a friend or relly to help out.
The Princesses have had their walkies; Patsy is flaked out on the floor, and Pandy is doing her level best to make her little Coton De Tulear body occupy the whole of a 3-seater sofa.:D
Flying-wise I've given the loo and wash basin a mega-scrub as Mr LW will be at home for the next 5 days (wfh tomorrow, to take me for my fasting blood test and look after me and let the girls out of I'm too wobbly to walk them, then of course we have a 4-day weekend) so I won't get chance to do them then. I also de-gunked his M@ch 3 razor *shudder* - it was gross! What's the betting he doesn't notice.:DIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0
