tigerwhite wrote: »It's a fabulous hotel!!!!! Tell her to look forward to it.:j I've stayed there 3 or 4 times and it's not creepy at all. There are two parts to the hotel (one is the original cell blocks, all tastefully converted but small rooms and they are in the main part of the wing - it's like "bad Girls" with the atrium, over two floors, white metal steps etc.
Or she could ask to be put in the new part - nothing like the main bit so not creepy if it freaks her out. there's a nice cocktail bar, good restaurant with yummy food. If she's driving, get her to pre-book car parking. The valet deals with it when you arrive cos parking in Oxford is a nightmare. the hotel parking is actually cheaper than anywhere else i've found. (think it's £15 for 24 hours).
If it is sunny, she can go up to the roof terrace, where they serve drinks on top of the hotel, looking down onto a square that does Shakespeare plays in the summer
And finally she has to go to Raoul's cocktail bar, a ten mins walk - one of the best around.
Thanks tiger, I'll pass these tips on to her.
She'll be flying down...again all paid for!!
I'll say to her about the new part as this maybe console her fears!!:rotfl:
I'll mention the cocktail bar as well, but I would expect they won't be going too far from the hotel as everything in the hotel is paid for.

Just wanted to say that the lovely comments people post on here when things are not going well for others are truly amazing - fairclaire, Naebbirac amongst others have such a way with words, you always know the right thing to say and express it so sincerely and so well :A:A0

having a bad morning because of oh accident decided to get a shopping delivery as I dont drive, asda all booked, so thought i would use tesco and a hh voucher and lost the receipt,
have guest coming and no food, then mum annoys me by saying she is bringing easter eggs over for all her great grandchildren, she has never brought easter eggs, when we were kids dad got them, and she never brought them for the grandchildren. I dont mind her buying them but there is only a year between the oldest great grandchild and my youngest son, so I think he will feel left out if she does not get him one, espeacily as she is bringing them here.. did say that but she said he is older..0 -
You beat me to it I've just bought the nutty caramel to try as they work out cheaper I will post results later
Dairy milk and whole nut have been tried and tested so far.
Crunchier and Turkish delight 200g bars should also work but my store does not stock them anymore.
They all work In store there about 9 different ones included in 2 for £3 that I've bought nutty gives best return.:D
Can't believe none of last week price changes haven't been updated along with this weeks an they compare cheaper no where else:(
Ignore reality. There's nothing you can do about it.
I have done reading too!
personally test's all her own finds0 -

Hi rhosy
I would buy one for him myself and add to the ones she brings over. Tell her what you have done and not to mention you bought this one, maybe she'll realize how important this is to you and add him next year!
It is a lie but a very important lie to make someone feel good!!

I'm interested to know if when you pay off your mortgage does the bank arrange a meeting to hand over your title deeds, or are they posted to you register post?
I think it's strange that I have had no letter from the bank as my mortgage will be paid off within a couple of weeks!!
x
Not in your interests to pay the whole balance off, leave £20 as a mortgage balance, cheap way of storing the deeds otherwise you will have to pay a storage fee elsewhere, significantly higher0
