I don't like sucking on nuts:eek: :rotfl: :rotfl:
oh brilliant - they will have a ball. lovely hotel
Here's a strange story about whole nut.
My mum and I went shopping every Monday and would buy my dad his favourite chocolate bar which was galaxy.
When my DF had cancer and not long to live my DH would buy him the miniature whisky bottles so he could sip a little at a time. When he passed away I put a miniature whisky and galaxy in his coffin.
I said to my mum one day before the funeral that I had had a strange dream that my dad was laughing and thanked me for the whiskey and chocolate but said that galaxy had never been his favourite choc. We just had a laugh about this as when he was suffering with the pain of cancer I would play tricks on him to lift his spirits a little bit. So, he was having the last laugh at my expense.:rotfl:
When I was next down at my mums a few days later she said my uncle Alex had visited and said that my dad had asked him to bring a bar of whole nut each time he came to see him and not to tell DM or me!!!:eek: (he visited every 2 weeks during his illness )
So, I took the galaxy out the coffin and put a bar of whole nut in its place:rotfl::rotfl:0 -

Tesco black Thursday was a bit lame. The items the lady had on the list were the only ones available. Cheapest flat screen tele was 200 quid. They had a few tablets down by a whole 20 quid and some irons and steam mops too. Bit of a waste of journey.. Got my self and vacuum though.
Quick question. The hoover I bought was 35 quid. I tried using 2 x 20 quid club card vouchers but the woman on the till was having none of it. I had to pay 15 quid cash along with the 20 quid club card vouchers. Is that correct? In the past any excess club card vouchers that were not used in the transaction were refunded back on to the club card. Has it now changed? So for example had she put through both vouchers like they used to them 5 quid neither of points would have gone back on to the club card. Can someone clarify please?
With regards to the 2x £20 clubcard vouchers Mimi, this is right, you cannot use 2 on a £35 spend, as the till will not let the SA undertender, so you have to spend the whole £40 to use them.
When Tosco do the double up, they put the excess back onto the club card, ie, if you have a £7 voucher and wanted to double up £5 of it, the excess £2 would be put back onto your clubcard.
hthIt`s nice to be important, but its more important to be nice.

have guest coming and no food, then mum annoys me by saying she is bringing easter eggs over for all her great grandchildren, she has never brought easter eggs, when we were kids dad got them, and she never brought them for the grandchildren. I dont mind her buying them but there is only a year between the oldest great grandchild and my youngest son, so I think he will feel left out if she does not get him one, espeacily as she is bringing them here.. did say that but she said he is older..
Oh rhosynbach, I'm like you always wanting things fair, it's not nice feeling left out.
I think the idea of buying one yourself is a good one, hopefully you mum will realise after you mentioning it as well that it's not a good idea to leave him out. The age gap between your DS and oldest great grandchild is nothing and of course he will notice.
Hope your OH is recovering well from the nasty accident. xx0 -

Anybody fancy starting a Cornish witches circle ? We haven't got a JL for free cake etc but we must be making enough to run to a coffee or glass of wine in Wetherspoons or somewhere ?ELITE 5:2

Hi again
as previously mentioned I, and many colleagues already have our deeds and still have a mortgage....many banks and building societies don't keep them any more as they are held electronically.
I'm C & G, one is Nationwide, one is RBS...
Agreed Santander sent me my paper deeds after we bought this house last year. They don't need them they said , everything going electronic. Old house we kept our in locked fireproof box as we owned outright,
