I'm just waiting on my paperwork to arrive, as I think they may have ignored the fact that my eldest son has stayed on at school, as my payment schedule (as given to the MP's staff who dealt with my case) is significantly different to the figures I get on entitledto.
Does your local MP have an office number? If you look up the Houses of Parliament website, they may have an office number that you can phone - surely he must have some staff still working while he is on his summer break?
Also with your Child staying in education, the award notice you receive will not show that until the first week in September as the change has not yet happened. As long as you have informed TC that the Child is remaining in education, you will get another award notice with revised payments in the fist part of Sept to confirm this.No One I Think Is In My Tree.:cool:0 -
tonight I may get that sleep I so need!
Just checked online banking, knowing I only had a mere £5.25 in there and have been worrying every day that something might not have hit it and gone out without my knowing and OMG there was, just two days late, my tax credits, albeit not the right amount, in fact £2 more than we have been getting.
I know some of you, Pinky springs to mind, that will appreciate my relief, One long sigh... What a weight off my mind.
No paperwork of any sort though, no termination letter we were told to expect, nor anything from the knock on effect to HB and I am curious of course about the calculations so we can budget. I wonder why the figures are different, there were no changes to report.
A lot of the carp things in life I take in my stride, but anything to do with family finances and all my panic buttons go off at the same time! Ive been so worried, now I can be my usual patient self for the last week of the holidays. Poor DD3 was probably wishing she was back at school than spending time with grumpy old me.
Thanks to those with helpful responses x0 -

Aah, I had in my head that it was the first week in August that the revised awards were issued.0 -

I am SO happy for you!! I know exactly what you've been going through over the last few days.
I've not received my letter telling me that my claim has been terminated, although I was told that it was sent out on August 10th, when they pulled the plug.
I'm still waiting on my award paperwork to come through, which is becoming almost as frustrating as waiting on the payment, albeit, now I can be frustrated with food in my stomach!
Enjoy your sleep tonight - I've slept like a baby the last few nights!0 -
My award notice has come through today, and as expected, it shows that my eldest is no longer in full time education as from 30/08.
Blondebubbles (or anyone else equally as knowledgeable!) can you confirm that this is correct, and that I will be issued with a further award notice at some point in the next couple of weeks, showing that my eldest is remaining at school this year? It just seems like a bit of an extra faff for the tax credit office, when it could have just all been dealt with with the renewal.0 -
pinky - have you still not received the termination letter? Ours was sent on 18th August they say but nothing received here. Hope my award comes soon then seeing that they have made an odd payment.0

No, no termination letter. Today I got two envelopes from them, one with a statement for 2013-2014 (I don;t think I've ever received a statement before?!), and one with the award notice for 2014-2015.0

aww Pinky they are hopeless arent they? I havent had any termination letter nor award notice either but as I predicted housing benefit have quickly jumped on it and have had those letters saying our small h b has been suspended in light of info from the DWP (Tax credits) - but of course they want to see award notice which I only have one months old. I am guessing as they have seen the word termination they will want to see a new one and I havent had that yet. I dont understand why when the DWP can inform h b very quickly of any termination they cant communicate i.e someone from tax credits following it up with communication to local council to disregard because we were a victim of their glitch. Oh no, way too simple. I wouldnt mind so much but none of this is our fault! grrr. Getting cross again now.0

Tax credits is HMRC not DWP.0

Anybody not received his award letter yet? I haven't, even though it has been well over 8 weeks.0
