Steve, being a bloke I tend to enter all the electronics comps but I also enter the spa comps as I know my OH would love them. I've even entered some of the Julian Macdonald dress comps, again, I'm sure my OH or DD would love them, but I did think the suggestion (I can't remember who by) of being the new bounty kitchen roll actor was a good giggle.

I can see the merit of getting someone else to enter comps for you if you're stretched for time, but to be honest, not only does it take a good bit of the fun away (looking at the prizes, deciding whether you'd like it, etc), I think it'd cost more than the value of the prizes you'd win. I did work out how many hours I spent on here once against the value of the prizes I'd won and it worked out at less than the minimum wage. Then I realised that's not why I was on here, I just like it here, so why bother worrying about whether its cost effective.

I have been doing it for around 7 weeks and am addicted, I enter everything I can and cant seem to stop!:o But I can see I am not alone so don't feel as bad now!

Pay someone to enter comps for me?? NO, NO ,NO.
    Where's the fun in that?
Entering, and getting that email saying 'Sorry you're not a winner this time' - is so exciting

But when you do win - WOW:j

As for being an addict - I'm getting there.
I check MSE comps & IWIWIW first thing every morning. Go off to do stuff and come back, just in case there's another post! And so it goes on and on all day.

Still waiting, like so many, for that BIG win. One day ........

No I would not pay for someone to enter for as i enjoy entering them myself

Do lots of you do this daily?

I enter every day, while at work and when i am home in the evening

    Do you enter everything?

I only enter for the things i could use, and most dvds as there is always someone in the family who would watch them

How much of your time do you spend comping?

1 hours maybe at work on and off and in the evening anything from 1 to 3 hours depending if OH is on shift work

    Do you enjoy it?

Yes and defenatly addicted to it.

Is there a thread somewhere where you've all already had this discussion?

How much of your time do you spend comping?
I should spend about 4-6 hours a day:o but lately have only been spending an hour

    Do you enjoy it?
    Love it!!

Can you tell that I'm nosey?
    Errrrrr..:D

    I wouldn't. :)

    New business idea?:D

I have only been entering comps for about 2 weeks and just do it when I've got 10 mins. I seem to spend about 20mins on my day off entering comps.

Do lots of you do this daily?

    I try to

    Do you enter everything?

Just the stuff I'd like to win , I never enter The hols for 2 ......nobody is foolish enough in my family to put up with my girls' for more than one night.( I've only spent one night away from them since they were born )

I do sometimes enter the short breaks for 2

How much of your time do you spend comping?

I comp on and off throughout the day ....I'll do a couple of hours work then take a break and do some comping....One of the perks working for yourself.
    I spend about

    1 hr in the morning
    1 in the afternoon
and as many hours as I can squeeze in at night

I have given up ironing ......for environmental reasons you understand :rotfl:

    Do you enjoy it?

Love it ....I used to do a lot of comping in the early 2000's but slowed it down and eventually gave up as I was becoming obsessive after having some really good wins

Can you tell that I'm nosey?

Inquisitve ( a much nicer way to put it :rotfl: )

I'm intrigued by it all at the mo. Some of your wins are fantastic and kind of encourage me to enter but I'm wondering if I'll get bored really quickly and stop entering!

How long have you all been comping?

Only started up again in June

Is there a thread somewhere where you've all already had this discussion?:o

I only actually enter comps where I want the prize. I dont enter comps if I wouldn't make use of the prize.

I suppose lots of people do - and then flog the prize on Ebay?

I've got enough of my own[strike] rubbish[/strike] quality vintage items ready to list, couldn't be bothered entering stuff to sell .

Obviously no need to answer my very nosey beak questions :o

I'd never pay someone to enter comps for me .......My hubby once offered to get a cleaner in for one day a week ....I wouldn't hear of it , I'm way too [STRIKE]stingey[/STRIKE] Frugal..........Hubby calls me Mr Crabs ( spongebob)
