Hi. I'm planning to put together an article on the best house info sites.
Of course all the free house sales prices, property snake and a raft of others are in there. Yet if you have any more good for specific things - it'd bre great to hear your suggestions.
If you could note down the site and what you like it for it'd be really helpful.

http://www.reallymoving.com can offer removalist quotes for your area. Its not concise but its pretty good as a starting point. I didnt have a clue where to start, and it also got a few other removalists contacting me.0

I think the houseprices.co.uk has better search/ display facilities than some of the others.
Please don't include iammoving.co.uk. It claims to notify change of address to all and sundry. Takes an age to complete all the details and then just prints pro-forma letters for most places. Some of the ones it did manage to notify emailed to say it can't identify details. Most importantly it claimed to have notified the DVLA, the only way to update a driving licence is by completing the form from the post office, hence I was under a false impression that I had notifed them and was commiting an offence until I realised.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. It's not exactly an info site but www.housenetwork.co.uk is an online estate agent that many MSE'rs have used with success.
They allow you to sell your house for a little under £500 in total (Far cheaper than your average EA) and the main benefit of house network over many other sites is that your house actually appears on www.rightmove.co.uk which is the site that you really need to be on to get your house noticed by people.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Also, a bit hardcore, but a necessity for anyone looking for information on leasehold properties has to go to www.lease-advice.org.uk
Government funded, they have lots of online leaflets about the different aspects of owning a leasehold property, obtaining lease extensions, buying freeholds, obtaining the Right to Manage your own building etc.
Bit geeky but there are plenty of people asking on the board about lease issues and this site has all the answers.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

www.shelter.org.uk
Basic enough housing information about your rights whatever part of the UK you are in and gives information for tenants, homebuyers, people splitting up etc.
I also second www.lease-advice.org.uk as they have a number of useful publicationsI'm not cynical I'm realistic

Also agree with silvercar - iammoving.com is not useful. As most companies seem to get your letter and send you a form.

Environmental risks-

www.housepricecrash.co.uk
Don't let the name put you off, although full of bears the site is updated with the latest news faster than any other. Intelligent and articulate thoughts expressed with a pinch of emotion are often 'on the money' and its the first place to go to find links to the latest housing articles.I can take no responsibility for the use of any free comments given, any actions taken are the sole decision of the individual in question after consideration of my free comments.
That also means I cannot share in any profits from any decisions made!;)0 -

A 'pinch' of emotion? I wouldn't even bother posting unless you wanted to get abused.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
