Yeah it is pathetic. Why on earth takes that long a check for us???
This is not the first year we do this!!!!!! should have a record that everything is still the same. well anyway not lucky this year......
Many people enjoying the refund already and us just hoping to get it at some point.
I don't think I phone them, there is no point.... Just gonna say the same as they told you.0 -
Exactly. Let me know if/when u get an update. So frustrating0

To be fair, some of the most fraudulent people in the UK tax system run HMRC. Slow pay, obstinate refusal to run off basic records in order to prove or otherwise a repayment claim, holding up an entire £10k CIS refund because of a discrepancy on a £400 invoice, the list is endless.
Yes they are a pretty incompetent jobsworthy bunch, no-one can really argue with that. But the delays on refunds are more than that. Any private business playing these tricks either gets no further supplies from the supplier or County Court Judgements flying towards it.
Yet when the boot is on the other foot no other business I know of - other than possibly banks or doorstep loan sharks - is as consistently nasty, unpleasant and threatening as HMRC in collecting debts, even spurious ones.Hideous Muddles from Right Charlies0 -

I got an update...... This morning says your account as 16.04.2014.
Kidding me on????
An update took them 48 hrs and it dates back 24 hrs from now.....
Unbelievable .....
But no change on content.... Still says repayment pending.....
So bank holiday tomorrow, bank holiday on Monday that means hope goes away for 5 days to get money....:mad::mad::eek:
It is a joke now. It's been 8 days since I requested bank transfer...0 -
Mine has changed to: 17th april BANK REPAYMENT
I think this means it has been transfered. How long before its in my account after it says this??0 -
I submitted mine on 7th, it has said repayment pending since 9th, in previous years it would have been paid by now. I'm really hoping it won't take much longer.0
-
Yeah same as mine, mines taken long enough, even though mine changed to issued today, i prob wont get it til next week as its bank holiday weekend.
I think yours is being checked, as they said to me if it doesnt change by 18th, then checks will be done and you'll get it by may 2nd0 -
I've just phoned them and they said they are taking about 3 weeks to issue if there are no security checks - fingers crossed!0
