It could be picked randomly for a security check which could last a few weeks at least. You can call your tax office and ask them :)

What do you mean by security check? Do you mean like a tax enquiry?
Chances are I'm in this thread asking questions as I love to learn new stuff. (Did you know all polar bears are left handed?)

    AmberJ: yup :)

Keaton: no, not enquiry. Just random checks that HMRC do on tax rebates.

    Hi all
I've done mine on the 6th payment pending started on the 8 of April and still pending.
This is the second time it takes longer to get it to bank account. It is usually a quick process. The 1st time it took 20 days to get money. After that it was 5 days and now again takes longer. Just when you expect that money to be used it does not come. I do not understand these security checks though.
OK in the 1st time but what is the point if every year that same person makes the SA online with the unique password and user Id?
I check the website a couple of times a day to see the PENDING changing to ISSUED. so far no hope.
Might be tomorrow might take a month. Who knows?

Oh and one more thing. The amount does not affect the security check as it is randomly picked. I tell you this as last year a 4 figure sum was in my account in 3 days.
This year not so lucky I guess.......

    How much you waiting on??

Yeah ive made the habit of checking mine 4 times a day but have a feeling it updates over night, as the date always says 'as of the date the day before'

Hi just to let you know still waiting
It is a 4 figure sum. There has been no update on website since Tuesday 1 am.
That is over 30 hrs now. So it not necessarily updates overnights. Very disappointed in HMRC. With technology and resources available nowadays it should update at least 24 hrs.
I check mine around 20-25 times a day. Sound crazy?? I know but need that money yesterday........
No luck so far. Have a feeling won't see it till after Easter.
    Keep you posted....
