in Cutting tax
Ive submitted my tax return for self employment for the year ending 2013/2014,
I noticed it says received on: 6th April
What does the 'submitted on:' mean??
There currently is no date in the field but when it shows, does that mean it has been 'transfered' my my account??
Does it always say payments are pending?
Also, how long will it take from the date is says 'submitted on' whatever that means..

I submitted mine on the 6 April. The next day showed repayment pending and the following day showing repayment made.
Checked and the payment is already in my bank account.0 -

Was about £200. Not sure whether they check or just take my word for it. Have been on SA for the last 3 years and they have never queried my figures.0 -

Yeap. For someone in the construction industry its average. I can claim on vehicle, tools, milage etc and first £9,500 i dont pay tax on. Can even claim for phone bill, cleaning work clothes, use of office room in a house, my accountant is good though.0

Hi,
The tax return I did Monday went to repayment pending yesterday and issued today.
It was for over £1000 also CIS scheme.0 -
Does the website update overnight? Does it update on a weekend?0

It could be picked randomly for a security check which could last a few weeks at least. You can call your tax office and ask them0

If it's still saying pending I'd give the revenue a ring, 1 in 10 repayments (randomly) get stopped for security checks and if yours has it will stay as pending until checks are completed. Can take weeks so worth finding out from them.0
