  • Thank you, thank you Gib and Mars.

I have resources and time to use them/clean the house. I need to motivate myself.

  • Hi Goldie - yes I am now a whole year older :)

Had a lovely meal out, beautiful posh 3 courses and 2 drinks for DH and I, £50 plus tip. Plus, my lovely brother gave me £50 (admittedly to buy clothes) but that meant we didn't really spend hardly anything. Result!

Glad you're feeling more organised SS. Sending waves of motivation your way!

Just catching up on 'bake off' on demand. Also very tired, so hoping for an earlyish night before back to reality tomorrow! I've loved being off and doing nothing today. I could get used to it :) x

  • Squeeeeeeeeee I forgot to say Happy Hoppy Birthday!!! More cake, more wine!!! And more (not cold bleh) tea!

Made me giggle at between beds too, it wasn't just you GAP! I had a holiday with my ex (before we broke up but not long enough before) where we had separate beds. We tried pushing them together but metal castors and tiled floor meant the exact same thing happening to us DM. Woke up after the first morning and ex was covered in hives. He was allergic to their washpowder. So he ended up sleeping on the sofa in the living room with only towels to cover him for the rest of a 2 week 'romantic' holiday. Pushed us ever closer to splitting up. :D which was a good thing ;)

Can't watch Bake Off. Mary Berrys squirrelly face and Paul Hollywood who makes me feel a bit ill. Contestants are pretty fab though. My whole family is obsessed up home.

My laptop is almost dead. Been googling new ones. Can I seriously justify £670 on a laptop? It won't be until after January unless this one goes completely caputt. I do not want Windows anything, and so am moving to the dark side with Apple... :) so pretty. So easy to use.

I too am getting old. In my music tastes, and technology-wise. I am the unofficial I.T bod at work, and I just cannot understand why anyone would willingly use a computer that is running Windows 8. I can't use it, and that makes me feel stupid. For no reason. They are stupid! It doesn't even have a proper iTunes app...

Rant over. Lovely Gib (And SS!!) Sleep tight!!! xx

  • Lilty do you know anyone at university as you'll get a special apple deal. :-)

Happy birthday Gibby, did I miss it in my blur. Hope you had a good day.

    SuperDave over and out.

  • I was keeping it a bit quiet and mysterious to try and retain anonymity lol. Great job gib. Can't help myself lol.

Lots of food was consumed yesterday. No wine, but an industrial sized pudding :)

Will catch up properly later X

Oh dear haha. We had similar stories. I can see now that they were signs :o
... and Paul Hollywood who makes me feel a bit ill...

Me too! I tried to look for a 'sick' smiley but couldn't find a suitable one. This will need to do _pale_ I took an instant dislike to him and I can't shift it.

    How about: feel_sick.png?? :D

Gibby it sounds like you had a lovely birthday! I joined you in the industrial sized puddings! :o 2 thirds of a trifle eaten by myself in 2 nights!

Exactly the same here!! Everyone thinks he is lovely. I get that horrible feeling too. I can't even put my finger on it really. I don't watch GBBO as I can't bear him. I don't think I have ever seen more than about 4 minutes of him at any one time and that was more than enough.

    Oh GIB!!! I forgot:

    Happy Belated Birthday Giblet!!

I've just been catching up and life has been pretty crazy for you recently. Great news about your OH's new job and glad you got to enjoy a lovely meal courtesy of your brother (even if he didn't know it :D).

I have no idea how you manage to work more than 40 hours a week. I only do 18.5hrs and I'm exhausted. Having said that, whilst I was at high school I used to work up to 15 hours a week in a shop on top of my 8am-4pm school days! I'm clearly getting old. :)

Luckily the only migraines I get are caused by stress, and then it has to be mega-stress. If I ever become allergic to chocolate I shall cry. I'm so bad, I bought some fancy chocolates on holiday for work...then ate them all myself!!

Bake Off is all about the cakes and puddings for me. Can't see the attraction to the male judge.
