I do not have panels on more than one roof, but I have shading that effects only some panels - which is why I went for solaredge in the first place.

I can see the physical layout. I just have the layout and overview options - not the other 3...

I will contact them!

Probably no help to you, but I feed my PVoutput "account" via an app on my phone which in turn connects via Bluetooth to the invertor (SMA one - it has the blue tooth to feed the monitor they provide). Might be worth a nose through the various app stores to see if you can find anything similar for yours - if it has Bluetooth!

Hi Dave,

I've been pointed to a thread on Facebook regarding an API that SE have promised will be released. It's quite old but according to their November post one will be released in 2014.

I appreciate the tip but I don't have a fancy phone sadly.

Hi Jimmy,

There's another thread with some great news!

Solar Edge have announced in the last hour that their API is now available.

Installers will have to make a request for it. The announcement is here on Facebook.

I've already drawn my installer's attention to it and hope to have it available very soon.

Brilliant - they actually sent me some documentation and told me it was available, etc, but didn't tell me they'd just announced it. Basically, that's awesome news. Not too much more manual updating needed at PV Output, hopefully...

Nice one Jimmy. I did have a search on the SE website but found nothing about the API. Have you contacted your installer as it seems only they have access to the relevant SE software?

Yes, I've raised a request with my installer to give me access to the API/create a key for me etc, I am hoping I'll get one and I'll be able to help the PVOutput guys get up and running.
