A smart move in my opinion. That way there is no paper trail and government depts. can't snatch money out of your bank account.
They were talking on Bbc Breakfast this morning that George Osbourne hopes to bring in tougher laws to fine and even send to jail those people who try to hide money abroad rather than pay tax.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

Note the weasel word "hope"? Dream on George, too many vested interests, party donors and zillionares involved to even get closeEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -

I saw on the news today about changing passwords, so I set to. It is a horrible job, I have had to think of new and complicated passwords with upper and lower case and numbers. I am really pee`d off with it, changing mine and DHs savings accounts amongst lots of other accounts and having different passwords for different accounts
I have decided to close a couple of accounts when they mature and I am either spending the cash or keeping it in the house, which is perfectly safe where I live
I can`t keep up with this
Not related to passwords, but to 'memorable information'. Between us we've got 10s of these in multiple accounts. Out of the blue Santander on a 123 log in asked for verification along the lines of 'what's your favourite colour'. We always enter colourxxxx when these accounts are first set up. The xs can be whatever you can remember. In our case it's a simple 1 ie colour1. Works for pet ie pet1, name ie name1, school ie school1 or whatever the key word is. We have a few very old accounts where we actually entered a true response but these are rapidly dimishing, along with the grey cells:D0 -

All the little ways that we devise for passwords are only designed to help us remember them, all the computer does is compare a string of 1s and 0s from your input to the master data it holds. The only thing that is constant is change.0 -

Just get a programme which manages them all for you.

I keep an address book especially for the purpose, although it's looking rather tatty now. (The constant crossings out make it even more difficult to decipher to strangers!)
I'm told that the likelihood of a burglar stealing your computer and a tatty old address book isn't very likely...The beautiful thing about learning is nobody can take it away from you.
Thanks to everyone who contributes to this wonderful forum. I'm very grateful for the guidance and friendliness that I always receive from you.
