    Thank you but I just feel for the OP! I guess in a way I have written what would have been nice to hear when I was in a tizzy.

    Betty regarding early scans, you can always walk into A&E at your local hospital and complain of stomach pains if you are worried and won't rest without a scan. When people are early on in pregnancy they have to scan you asap so they'll refer you to the scanning department where you should hopefully be seen within a few days. I had scans at 6wks, 14wks, 22wks and 35wks. I found that if I showed up at casualty whinging that this, that or the other hurt I was always sent to the correct department and dealt with promptly even when it turned out I had silly things like a flashing migraine or urinary tract infection (had something new every week me!).

    Where babies are concerned, you will always be welcome at A&E or the emergency doctors in my experience.
