I don't know much about computers so perhaps you can help.
My computer has been working perfectly normally - until yesterday. The only difference yesterday was that I received a message to update Java, which I started.
I started getting messages come up about disk nearly full so I can cancelled it.
Now, every time I open google it suddenly changes to
http://search.snapdo.com/?st=hp&q=
and I still get messages about improving my computer's performance.
I use Chrome.
I see someone else has posted recently about slightly similar troubles. But I'm not sure there's any connection.
I did a scan with Kaspersky and I did a System Restore to 8 days ago but without success.
What should my step be, please?

I ran the first link and followed the first two steps to remove Snap Do and it seemed to work then I ran ADWcleaner as in step 3 and now when I start up I get
http://search.conduit.com/?gd=&ctid=CT3325805&octid=EB_ORIGINAL_CTID&ISID=MF4A5E8F9-1B7A-49AE-A570-9E2EFA34CA40&SearchSource=55&CUI=&UM
which seems to be the same problem with a different name!
Perhaps I should have tried Malwarebytes instead?0 -
My mistake, sorry, I actually ran this from one of the posts I was linked through to:
How to Remove Snap.Do toolbar http://malwaretips.com/blogs/snap-do-toolbar-removal.
Should I still try Malwarebytes?0 -
Yes, malwarebytes is always worth running in situations like this.“Time is intended to be spent, not saved” - Alfred Wainwright0

Yes, malwarebytes dealt with it, thank you.
The opening page still pointed to it so I changed the default setting back to Blank and that seems to have cleared the rest of the problem. Just hoping it won't pop up again.0
