This wretched snapdo thing has just invaded. It seems to have started on the back of an unclicked, uninvited java update which appeared as I was closing putah down.

How to remove it, in non-techie language please?

I googled solutions but as someone else says, it doesn't show in the list of prgrams, nor does its alter-ego resoft.

Everything seems very slow since it arrived.

Thankyou if you can help.

Try downloading, installing and running the free version of Malwarebytes.
    https://www.malwarebytes.org/

See if that sorts it out.

    Another useful programme is
    Should I remove it

    https://www.shouldiremoveit.com

If it is not appearing in your programme list it is probably piggy backed on something else and appears on that. I had one yesterday and it was there when I went to remove another programme and there it was. It gave me the option of removing one or both.

Malwarebiytes also good for clearing up the left overs from such things in the registry etc.
I started with nothing and I am proud to say I still have most of it left.

Is probably what I would suggest as the best course of action.

But MBAM is worth doing anyway.

    Again. my thanks to all.

BUT, I still find java update page, which I believe cloaked the intruder, masking my grauniad online. Don't want it. When I x it for Go Away, it closes down the guardian page too.
