Well it is because I haven't been counting calories since my last weigh in in may

Why would I weigh tomorrow, there's no need

    It's 19.4lbs since 6th jan

I'm no Dr. Gillian but maybe your OH needs to revise his theory

Is probs just because you pay attention more to what you eat and have a goal. :T

    I think you'll find it isn't Tinks.

Whatever it is,if it's actual loss, well done. But remember it takes a calorie defecit (or cutting carbs to reduce initial bloat!)

Calories are higher with meat things

Pizza for instance, pepperoni pizza is higher in calories than cheese or tuna pizza

Yeah, but Tinks, you stopped eating meat (non fishy meat!) at the beginning of the year. That won't make you magically drop 2lbs in May.It'll be something else

Aye, it's possible to lose weight without exercise

It is, My friends Mum lost 4 stones and cant walk far, only round the house. She doesnt go out as her walking isnt good enough.
Anyway she had a gastric band and also said she could have done it herself without that. Even with a gastric band you still have to watch what you are having. She also nearly choked on a piece of food that got stuck due to the band.

I find I lose weight when I eat more meat as it keeps me satisfied for longer :)

I eat meat at least twice a day. Mind you, I also lift barbells so that might have something to do with my diet! :rotfl:

I'm struggling too! I've had 5 bowel surgeries in 3 years and I managed to pile lots of weight on in this time , and I'm 15 stone 2 and a size 22. I have lost a stone since my last surgery in jan, but the weight loss is sooo slow! Things that are making it hard for me to lose are having hypothyroid, going through early menopause, having M.E and arthritis meaning I find it almost impossible to exercise, I eat a healthy vegan diet but I am finding it hard to shift those pounds.
Many thanks to all who contribute on MSE :)

Can you swim, faerielight? Mum has arthritis and tries to walk and swim when she can.

Make sure your thyroid meds are the right dose, keep up with your testing :) I have the same thing.
